Wrong they raced some with down draft webers on these with big jets sucking gas and they came matched to a 220 SU manifold I need a set of carbs for one I have here .

Actually later model head , maybe Nissan comp catalog, ones that came with sss motors have it on front of head ,earlier ones.

Great story ! great find .We are both very lucky I have never been a Z guy but I guess I am now , I will tell story as short as I can , about twelve years ago when Nissan moved to Ten. my buddy who works for tech support called me and offered a 70 240z for 2200 ,not really interested I call my friend in Nor Cal and he says buy it for him , so worked for a couple months and painted car ,was still was running he came down for a month worked on car with me , he then towed to Sebastapol ,nor Cal , car sat for all that time and he barely took apart in a garage , I am sad to say he passed away from heart attack , his family gave his four Datsuns to my friend and I and I have to buy out my partner on Z to keep it , here it is already has built stroker with all Nissan Comp parts in there but stock motor is still up north if I go and get it . Anyway home in my garage until I sell my sr20 4dr then will start assembly ,came with new dash in box and a gang of new parts .RIP Jim Anderson my buddy you guys called him barefoot tax man ,he worked at HR Block Petaluma came out to a couple runs ..

Yo Ray ! I ran across a NOS R.521 fender at a friends shop new dusty !I will see what he wants for it for your garage wall. .Also collecting grilles scored a powder coated black one recently for testing ,I like stock polished.

Hey Dave that truck was on Broadway in Whittier , I had watched it also ,time capsule , there is a 74 610 in that area also , good luck and looks like an AC leaked on roof for years ,so replace roof skin and you will have a nice truck.

Need to pick up motor at machine shop , Pistons are below deck and Franklenstein list says .29 below deck with closed chamber head will still be in 9 to one + it says , so I can't wait to assemble , I may put in 521 we recently picked up ! parked 38 yrs will need brake conversion to disc .
