Are you ever going to post photos of the dash insert you made? I would like to see how it turned out. If you are interested my 76 will probably be ready to sell by the time you get out here.;)

I had to put 1in. spacers on the 76 for steering clearance, so the front of the 79 should be good with the same Yukon wheels, but thanks for the warning anyway.:)

That would look great in my 620, too bad I have no money.:(

I paid $30 for mine at Pep Boys, but now that I know about the 720 springs, I think I will go that route for better and safer handling. Just so you know, you should install new U bolts anytime you take it apart, as they streach, and are concidered unsafe for reuse.:o

I just came from our big winter swap meet and there was a guy with 3 sets of Fiero seats for sale. He had 2 sets with the old Camero hounds tooth patern cloth inserts and 1 had Katskin leather covers. He owned an upholstry shop and was proud of his work, all were pricey, but would have made great seats for a 620 standard cab. I found a set of really nice seats out of a Mazda 6 coupe, that mounted in my KC with just a little modification, and the drivers seat has a lot of adjustments, they have good side bolsters to hold me in when driving like the maniac that I am, plus the pass. side is one of those that slide forward when you flip the backrest forward so it makes it easier to put things in the back. If I ever get rich, I'll buy a set of Katskin leather covers for them. The only problem is, the dummy that I am, I didn't look to see what year the Mazda was, so I'll be looking at every 6 coupe I see, trying to find the same ones so I can find out what year they are.:(

What is going on with the seals? I thought for sure we would be seeing photos of the prototypes by now. Any time frame? I was hopeing to have mine before I go in for surgery and get put out of commision for 2 months or more.:(

I had an old delay conversion that was made to mount under the dash from J C Whitney that I put in my 76. I put it where the dash light dimmer was since I couldn't use it any more with my LEDs. It works great and looks factory. I don't think anyone is selling them anymore though, but it might be worth a search?:rolleyes:

Half car half truck=strange LOL. GM was going to bring the Ausie version in, but it was to be a Pontiac instead of a Chevy ElCamino, but since Pontiac is no more, and GM's problems, it's not to be. If you go to 3rd world counties, you see a lot of crewcab minis as they can't afford a car and a truck both, and need room for the whole family. When I go to the Philippines, I see a lot of Toyotas and Isuzus, but not to many Datsuns/Nissans.:cool:

I've seen a couple of them over the years, but never knew that it was a local company doing them. I was thinking of trying the phone # to see if they were still around. I think they also did Brand X trucks too.:)

If you are interested, I will be selling my 76 sometime in the next 2 or 3 months. If Interested, I can list all that I have done to it for you.:)

I still can't get it to work, every time I try to post a pic from photo bucket I get an error message; YOU MUST ENTER A POST. I can't figure out what I am doing wrong, it worked fine when I posted my first project photos.:(

I've finally made some progress, Installed DGEV and passed smog, Installed shorter poly bump stops and lowered 3 inches, Got the front end aligned, and cut off the ugly tail pipe end and installed a polished stainless tip. Then I installed a window regulator in the drivers door (nice to be able to roll the window down finally) and installed sound deadener/insulation. If I can get it to work this time, I'll post pics of progress. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but when I load the pics, everything looks good. Then when I hit post, they disappear?

OK, I will have to see what is left Friday after I get paid and pay bills. Thanks:cool:
