  1. Im still a youngin at 23, but that just means i get to poke fun at all you old crusty bastards......... :D
  2. You could also run an air over hydro setup to get more lift and take less space. That was one of my other plans. Something similar to this, my buddy rigo's s10. (you end up using this setup in the front instead of the rear)
  3. I was thinking about running a shockwave like the ones in the rear of my truck, down through the upper arm to the lower at one point. I would have ended up with a cage like your planning to mount the top of the shockwave too, but the bag would have been above the upper arm, and just the shock passing through the arm connecting to the lower. I think the only reason i didnt was because i didnt wanna spend another grand on custom shockwaves again. Good luck to ya
  4. I would think twice about putting that bag on the upper arm. At 1st it seems like a good idea. Frees up room, more lift, simple setup. But think about it for a second. The upper arm was never designed to take the load of the truck. The lower arm is the load bearing arm. If you put the bag on the upper arm there are many variable you have to think about. 1. The bushing in the upper arm will wear quicker. 2. It will put more stress on the upper control arm mount. You will be placing the load of the truck on the upper control arm mount. This mount was never designed to take very much load. It only takes a small load from the weight of the vehicle, and slight side loads from cornering. I will tell you from my experience of removing the upper control arm mounts on my truck. The facotry welds suck, they came off like butter with my air chissel. 3. Drastic increase of the load placed on the upper control arm crossshaft. I personally would never put a bag on an upper control arm, its just not my thing. Just wanted to point some things out to you.
  5. Heres mine: myspace.com/floorvair Im the drunk guy in the pictures......... :D
  6. I might make it down to the show in perry, not sure. You can still drop by anytime you want though, just come to the house instead. :D
  7. Actually i havent been doing much work on it. Since we closed down our shop, and i was out of a job for a few months (somewhat by choice), i have had little money to put into it. I dont need much money from this point on, but i have nothing to spare at the moment. I did get a 350 and TH350 tranny that i will be mocking up soon. I decided to go V8 over others swaps id been contemplating, mainly because i hate electronics on motors. I just dont know enough about them, and dont care to jump on that steep learning curve on a project i want to have done by the end of the year. Im finally getting around to finishing the metal work on the cab, then onto the bed. Once thats done body and paint will take no time!!!
  8. Looks like a morris minor, but thats just my guess
  9. Im very glad to see the SR20 fit, now i know i can do mine the same way!!!!!!! I cant wait to be dragging my bagged SR powered 521 :D
  10. He just needs a resistor to run inline with the leds, so he can have multiple functions (dim for running lights, and bright for brake/turn)
  11. I thought some of you guys might be interested in this. Im thinking about building one, and re-doing the back half on the datsun!!!! Heres the link: http://www.streetsource.com/forum/topic.aspx?whichpage=&topic_id=92244&forum_id=13
  12. I dont need to see a full rear shot to tell that your truck is hack. 1st off i cant look at the pics and see the how badly you beat the hell outta this thing. I am more than willing to bet your not the guy that built it. As far as the 4 link goes. I can tell its a 50/50 link or a reverse 4-link, both of which are complete grabage. Only in the world of "stupid mini truckers" is a 50/50 link or reverse 4-link acceptable. You will never see it anywhere else. Note: I did say "stupid mini truckers" not mini truckers. And judging by the nasty tank mounts, and sideways mounted compressors, I dont even want to see anymore of your "custom fab work". You give real mini truckers like me a bad rap in the custom car/truck community. And you probably still wonder why people laugh at mini trucks at multi make shows, you my friend are why.................
  13. Thats old school building, not some hacked ass mini truck. Did anyone happen to see the hacked ass 4 reverse 4 link in this thing. Its totally unsafe for the street. Dumbasses like this dont understand the difference between old school building, and a complete hack job. ^^^^^^^^^Total Hack Job POS^^^^^^^^^^^
  14. The funny thing is, my un-body dropped 521 tucks about as hard as that beat 620. That thing is deff beat to hell, it used to be pretty cool, but someone dragged it to pieces.
  15. The 620 radiator i got already has a 90 on the bottom of it, it actually came no where near the alternator.
  16. Well, the 620 radiator worked great. I only had to make a few tabs to mount the radiator, very easy. I couldnt reuse the fan shroud though, but not biggie, im planning on going to an electric fan in the near future anyways. If i remember, ill try and snap some pics soon.
  17. Is that all the lift you get??????
  18. Yeah, ive been looking at those. I got a new 620 radiator coming right now, im gonna look at it, i know ill have to change the lower hose outlet to a 90, but i think i can make it work. If it doesnt, then ill just have to take some good measurments and fab something up.
  19. We dont have yards here like you do out west. All our yards are private insuance yards, or used part yards that will not anyone in the back for insurance reasons. Id also really like a new part too.
  20. Anyone know of an easy swap into a 521. My dads radiator is leaking, and it is not a usable core for rebuild. I cant find a new radiator, so im looking at swaping something else in. Any ideas???? Pics would be awesome!!!
  21. Ouch, those damn wifes will do that. I can see it now, your going to end up like my buddy Joe. He got married, had kids, and didnt get to build the truck he wanted till he was almost 50  , but did make a big upgrade from a mini to a bagged fullsize on 24's.
  22. Make sure to add shocks, bag over axles rides horrible without them.
  23. Post some pics of your pinion angle off the carrier and the rear end, this is almost always the problem with vibration in lowered trucks.
  24. Ill take the truck!!!!!!!!! Im looking for a 510 too, just a coupe though. Only problem is they are damn near impossible to find on the east coast. Anyone got a fairly rust free cali body they wanna sell????
