  1. 1. 215/35/18, at 24 inches tall its very close to stock height. It is kind of stretched on the rim though, but i needed the clearance to clear the bedsides 2. Kandy green on top, and black on the bottom 2 tone, with some kind of graphic separating the 2 colors 3. I got one from pilkington classics a while back. Kinda pricey at $325, but well worth it. Now i just need the rubber
  2. Thats exactally my thinking. Minitruckin did a feature on a light green 521 that wasnt bagged on 18's and 20's and that truck wasnt even that nice. it looked good in pics, but in person there were dents and dings all over it. Im hoping for a cover, or at least a feature with mine when its done.
  3. I wonder what size tire hes running in the front, it looks super beffy. Is he still running the stock datsun front suspension?????????
  4. That 521 looks like 20's, but it doesnt look body dropped, unless its not laid out. Looks sweet, its almost a little too big for me though. Maybe ill just do 19's on mine.
  5. I think your talking about the wannabe minitrucker crowd, you know the ones im talking about. The 18 year old kids with the s10's and a bunch of bolt ons. Real minitruckers are just like you, classic car guys, and hot rodders. You cant generalize a whole scene by a few ignorant assholes, that are only into to try and be cool.
  6. This truck will be driven in the rain all the time, its going to be my daily once its finished. The tubs help keep the engine bay so much cleaner. My buddy has a tattoo of a sawzall on his back, its pretty cool. Thanks for all the compliments guys!!!!
  7. Yep, they have a nice shape and they are cheap ($20 a piece). Plus they are good and strong so they add back some structure that was removed.
  8. Got some work done on my truck today. Put one of the inner fenders in, came out pretty nice. Just need to do some grinding and a little body work and they will be done.
  9. The 521 arms a substancially narrower than the toyo arms, the whole clip on a 521 is a good bit narrower. Ill either make up for the width difference in the wheels, or narrow the whole clip to keep the long arms to allow room for a 2600 or 2800 lb bag. If i made tube arms for my 521 it wouldnt make a bit of difference.
  10. An re-7 will very easily go into a toyo suspension with tube upper an lowers, hell even just lowers and thats a 2600lb bag. I bet if you wanted to ou could even fit a re-8 fairly readily.
  11. Good info, now i just need to find a a motor, tranny, and harness so i can swap one into my 521!!!
  12. Yeah its still kingpin (although i am doing a disc brake conversion thanks to beebani brakets), i saw no need to change it for other datsun parts. Im planning on building another 521 after this one thats going to get a toyo front clip. Datsun suspensions are hard to get lift out of, and i can easily get 13" of lift out of a toyo clip, compared to the 7" i get out of my truck.
  13. That would be w/o tires, and it would only be after i get some new wheels, hopefully soon. These are brand new dealer take offs, never seen a mile on the road. I hope to get billets before i get the truck on the road, so they will still be brand new. I could let them go with tires, but the price would be $700, plus shipping. Ive got around $1000 in the wheels an tires. But remember this could be a while, i figured i speak up for someone that might have a down the road project. RB - i got the wheels from a friend of a club member in florida, i dont think hes got anymore, but i can check. I told a bunch of people on NWDE about the deal he had on them, but no one had any interest, i think he got rid of all of them on ebay.
  14. Your not gonna want 2600 slams in there, your gonna want the re-6's. Im almost positive re-7 will not fit. Your truck is basically the same as my 521, and look at the size of the notch i had to put in my frame just for an re-6, and how close the bag is to the dog bone.
  15. Ill get rid of them for $400 shipped, plus whatever the centers cost me (i believe the blank centers are $80)
  16. They are 18x8 Infiniti QX56 wheels.
  17. I kinda like them, Im planning on getting rid of them as soon as i get some cash up for billets. I want to goto a 20 in the rear, but no one makes a hoop for a 20x7. Ill probably god 18s in the front and 19s in the rear, if not 19s all around.
  18. Here some pics of my project. I hope to have it done by the middle of the summer, if i get the time!!!
  19. Found my way onto this forum, hope to get some good info, and see some cool projects!!!
