The problem with most stock seats, especially ones that are comfortable; is that they weigh a ton.

And those Corbeau GTS II are not bad seats honestly, they are not as comfortable as a Recaro LX but they are decent seats.

Those seats are garbage. Not trying to be a dick but this is about both comfort and safety. If you had those in your car and got rear ended hard, you would likely not survive with the ability to walk still intact. In addition to not being able to drive for more than 40 minutes comfortably. I am speaking from experience.

I will soon I believe, but their SSR reverse mesh type A, are you sure you cant use an 8.5/8 if they are in the right offset? if you look at ebay user skate07, which is 4th up JDM imports, you will find tons of wheels cheaper than the south asian stuff, and its all Japanese goodness.

I ordered a tube of Dow Corning 832 to seal the halves. It should be here this week. I also ordered a set of Nitto Neogens for them in 205/50-15 which should be here on Thursday. I have spent a great deal of time on these wheels at this point and am very happy to mount them on the car finally. All I need to take care of now is valve stems and lug nuts, both of which have easy solutions. Once these go on the Maxima, it looks like my next project will be a set of SSR Reverse Mesh in 15x8 15x8.5.I also picked up another pair of Volk Racing Mesh in 14x7 on Sunday that I will be rebuilding someday.

Torqued down and ready to be sealed. And then tires mounted.

So I have officially ordered a set of Nitto NeoGens for the Ray's, they should be here on Thursday, and I will be mounting the wheels hopefully this weekend. Its been a fun ride but I am DONE spending money on wheels and tires.

EXCELLENT write up. This is exactly the answer to the question I am always getting asked. Sooooo much better a setup too, I believe it would also be possible to just change the control arms ans TC rods instead of the whole subframe, but i am not sure what the difference is either way.

I just today picked up a pair of Rays Engineering Volk Racing mesh 14x7for $100, I can get the other pair on ebay for like $300, thats a $400 set of Rays. And yet people STILL buy Rota. I just dont get it anymore. I truly dont. Next weekend I am picking up SSR Reverse Mesh set of 15x8.5 15x8 for around the same prices. THERE ARE PEOPLE VIRTUALLY GIVING AWAY NICE WHEELS AND PEOPLE STILL BUY ROTAS.

I HATE showing this pic. I HATE it. Because in comparison to how they look in person, they look like shit in these pics. Photos truly can not do them justice, they are one of a kind and it was worth everything I did to them.

So if you assemble these, have another person, preferably two. Because these things need to be real stable while your torquing to spec, and it is a PITA.
