  2. This was directly from Doug and Colleen Vandecouvering. They have been with canby since day 1, they are a credible source.

  5. Made it back to the shop and measured, 48mm from the bottom out surface to center of u joint on the 300zx yoke, 36mm on the 510 one.
  6. Hey all, yesterday I measured for a driveshaft shortening on my 510/VG30/71C trans swap. Per the driveshaft shop, I was to measure from the diff flange, to the center of the universal joint with the output yoke bottomed out on the back of the trans, then subtract 1/2" to allow for installation, flex, etc. I came up with a measurement of 36.125" with the .5" subtracted. After the fact, i realized the yoke in the trans was from a Z31 driveshaft, not the 510 one. Do I need to remeasure with the 510 D/S yoke in there? or is there any "known" difference in measurements? Sudden thoughts at 3am at work on Monday...ugh!
  7. Just bring your pull cord on longer trips
  8. Nah, that's just Frank... He don't spell good...
  9. It would, but he said California. Where its illegal (highly) to visibly modify your vehicle from stock in any way, even if it improves efficiency. He is required to keep everything original on 76 and later vehicles. Satdun, united carburetor on franklin blvd in Sacramento does OEM carb restorations. Good people, you wont be disappointed.
  10. Which 720 was yours, the hella nice blue king cab?
  11. I got you homes... this is why you park IN the show and not by the vendors! LOL
  12. Nope, Nobody. :P The photobucket issue killed most pics lol but i took a shit ton and have them on a public album on my FB https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10211845128263628.1073742034.1232941107&type=1&l=18660ac913
  13. Hammers are NOT in the tool list for a clutch job. I just pulled a complete L19/trans without a single dent, patience! As well as being analytical of snags and hangups will get you through. Not brute force...
  14. Working on a VG30 swap, im just limping the L along until i have everything. engine runs fantastic, weber is the only issue.
  15. Negative Mine is just leaking out of the bowl, driving characteristics are unchanged The weber I have is an oldy, no recent manufacture. Pierce is top notch with top shelf pricing unfortunately. It just seems like the float stops doing its job when the nose is pointed high, bowl overflows out the vent. Ill need to get a gopro under there or something
  16. Tell the people Im waiting on parts from.... Verified and adjusted. No improvement. I hadnt considered that... thank you! Where do i buy a weber food gasket?
  17. Hey folks, I have an L19 with a DGV, freshly rebuilt in an attempt to stop the leakage out of the top. Still smell fuel and see seepage. Only when driving uphill does fuel escape. The front area of the carb shows fuel penetration through the gasket, no matter how tight. Carb always has the "residue look". Float is set correctly, pump is mechanical. Any ideas? Experiences?
