Boaty tells me there are prefabbed engine brackets out there for L series conversions in J trucks, is this true? I used google, and searched here, to no avail... Would be interesting...

Saw this monstrosity at Motoring J style in 2007... Too nasty even for ratsun...and UNSAFE! The electrical connections were all exposed, and the battery wasnt even mounted, just chillin in the cargo area floor...

Obvious solution? CCW.

Interesting discovery after work today....

I compared them because Nissan bailed on RWD shortly after Renault took over. Then the 350"Z" came out, which was too upmarket to be similar to the "affordable RWD" market. Then, instead of creating a revived silvia line, they announce that they will be "cheapening" the Z to compete with lesser cars...

Saw one last week, very eye catching. But its an absolute disgrace that Toyota beat Nissan to this re-emerging RWD market... Mazda's new design miata & RX8, the '86, and what, the 350z? no.........

What? Datsun does this? on the front? Where? :confused: The strut takes all the load, save for some side loading. Different system entirely. Although, to answer the question of who does this, EVERY 510er who installs rear coilovers!

We are only referring to the rubber isolator between the spring and body in the rear. You DO want them. Otherwise they will conduct all the noise and NVH directly to the body. Racetep offers 2 heights, stock, and +1/2". Your car should already have the stock rubber ones. So, unless they are broken/rotten, no need to replace em. That being said, i have the + 1/2" ones, i like em.

I think Duke nailed it, imperfect fit from eibach springs. I had them "seated" in the wrong holes at first, huge improvement when i got them back in the right spot. Upper hats are poly units from Racetep, seated, yes ;)
