  1. im already a fan of them, hell they sat for 7 years, i poured gas in em and she fired up and idled smoothly untill the fuel ran out, i didnt use the chokes either, surely the webers arent that bad, hell all of the 620 guys love em
  2. yeah its not too bad but there are some fairly serious rust spots and it has been painted awhile back it has form what i can tell a skim of bondo in some areas but if you look on the other side of the panel there isnt like huge holes or anything. she is definitely gonna be a few year project to get to where i want it, its going to take me awhile to do the metal work once i can talk my friend into using his garage!!! lol

  4. if they would let me buy just a passenger i would buy your drivers side, both of mine are gone, it needs lots of hours of metalwork, on wednesday when the rain goes away i will jerk the seats out and the 45 floor mats and inspect the lack of metal, its a shame someone could let it get like this!!!! as far as under the hood its teh stock L24 with msd wires and coil, dual webers!!!!! and a header!!!

  6. ok so heres the bad, it needs floor pans bad!!!!, it also needs alot of metal around the front of the floorpan and the battery tray is gone, the plus is that it will run if i can get fuel to it, and it has nice wheels. what i need to know is where to get floor pans fairly cheap and how do the 260 and 280z dashes interchange? it needs alot of metal work, a little interior work and minor work on the drivetrain.

  9. hey guys i bought a 240 today and a few things i know im gonna need will be both door panels in black and a dash and a good source for some floor pans. sorry if this is vauge but ive only owned the car for about 5 hours lol and its pouring the rain
  10. the spider gears (the gears you broke) have nothing to do with the gear ratio it is only the ring and pinion that have an effect on ratio. it looks like in the picture that your pinion gear is damaged too. question for you yellow, did all of the 620's come with the 4.375???? i have a 77 620 and i was wanting to try and figure out what gears i have, i am probably going to the junkyard this friday and i could probably pull some gears out of a 720 if i had an idea of what i have and what i need. i need to inspect my rear end anyways so i might as well try some diff gears since this 4 speed is killing my ass on the highway.
  11. here is a few original colors i mixed up myself from dupont codes, they are in nason urethane, i mixed up some orange too but i do not have a picture of it, i really dig the blue though, that is probably what i will paint my truck with

  16. go with the paint, but ask to see the guys work before you let him do it, also monitor him to make sure he isnt slapping gallons of bondo in your baby, if he messes up, get rid of him, its to much work to fix that crap, as far as the line x they way way over quoted you, get in good with the guys down there and you can get a discount, they dont have 100 bucks in materials for your whole truck, i would wait untill the line x guys need work then offer them 300 just for the bed, bargain with people man all they can say is no, but dont lowball them or you will insult them
  17. i doubt he will sell it he is a stubborn old man, and my father and his brother will be using a few of the engines to build airplane engines, he has probably 13 corvairs some 110s and 140,s 2 doors 4 doors a convertible and piles or engines, ill post up some pics of them when i get home
  18. my grandpa bought the car new in 63 and he hit a hole in the road and did something to it, he says when you hit 55mph it shakes so bad the it will break the bead on the tires and the air will come out, he parked it and its sat ever since, he used to start it up everyonce in a awhile but stopped that 20yrs ago, it has low miles but the rust has eaten it up, its a parts car now

  20. ha i have the turbo setup!!!! i ahve pictures of it somewhere, i dont know what year the car is but i know its a 4 door monza with the turbo, ill find pics when i get a chance, my g pa has about 13 corvairs but only one of the old bodystyle like yours, the turb is cool because it says chevrolet on it lol
