I don't even bother with my cell normally while driving... Pisses me off personally as I'm in a tiny little car with these SUV's going 10+ over around me on a cellphone. People avoided my mazda pickup like the flu, it had a pipe bumper from hell.

It was, its always nice to drive something and it not break. :lol:

I finally got my bugs transmission issues worked out and it is running like a champ. So I hit the trails with them and drove all over for less then 5 bucks, man I love this car. Drove through a few wet spots, I am taking it easy for now tell I get better offroad shocks and a few upgrades.

Other then that, great buy dude its in very good shape. How bout an R16? might fit a little better then the L18, plenty coming out of roadsters lately for SR swaps.

I'd take it but too far, could ride it to work in the summertime too. :lol:

Being kind of honest if all us Datsun guys got rid of our Datsuns and bought new cars it would be worse for the environment due to the pollution new cars create from being made.. Most of my car's parts have already been made, and would have been sent to the recycling plant if no demand for them was there, meaning that more pollution from factories are made which aren't as restricted as the cars are now and honestly our car's don't put out that much more hydrocarbons then newer ones when properly running. Old cars are alive in my opinion to newer ones, they each have a personality a lot of things these newer cars will never come close to being even if half the shit failed on it. Least your car doesn't scare upper class children like my VW does :lol:

50 bucks? Nah, but on a serious note can you give us any more info on it I see a sticker on one of the carbs.. I'm interested as if I can find how to rebuild them I'd love a set of solex's for my roadster!

I've always wanted an older cosmo and I'd so stuff a 20B into it too bad I've got my roadster.

Datsuns are special lil cars, they seem to find their owners at crazy moments. :D

I'd been thinking of getting a new GTO as a daily driver I'm sold on one now! Looks kinda like a beemer to me.

My mom says my roadster is a coffin on wheels. Guess she is right?

Sucks about your window dude, I've got an el cheapo ebay special wireless camera on my cars just for such things.. Gives me a nice bing off my pc when someone or something moves around my cars as well. I'm paranoid when it comes to cars cause the first car I had was stolen right after I placed a brand new twin turbo 350 in it.. Fortunately they crashed the car, unfortunately they stole the turbos. I'd Plexiglas the rear windows anyways, less weight! lol

Does it still have the original engine and is it a 1600 or a 2000? Honestly the motors that are in it aren't costly to build up, just don't expect huge numbers.

http://www.311s.org has quite a bit of info for restoring a roadster and even a list of parts that can cross over.. Myself I get my 68's parts from http://www.datsunparts.com The KA24 is a bolt in swap, you'll have to cut some for an SR20.

Not to long ago a large number of them went up for sale at some ranch in Texas. I wish I could have got one or two of them...

I'm rather slow on the updates lol I've started mocking up the front for widebody as it is easier to start with then the rear. :P I don't quite have it 100% on how but I wanted but just to see what it would do if I stuck it out a few inches from the body itself. I'm sure I've lost my mind, but I'm going to do it anyways... I'm currently trying to get another one that I can cannibalize for parts.

Got my trigger wheel and EDIS system in, waiting on the ECU that finally got shipped. Currently working on a mock up for the widebody, the car will be 3 inches wider on each side. I'll be using the stock fenders and extending them 3 inches so I will be gaining a little weight but will be cutting weight out as well. I considered doing fiberglass or carbon fiber but since this car is a street car I like the idea of keeping the body mostly steel, not to mention I'll be lightening the body some.
