  1. Is still there? I know my roadster came from a body shop in lawton.. Still have the pinkslip for it too. If it was red, I might have been the lucky winner of it. lol I've seen a few around but they wanted 1k+ for what I paid 400 bucks for.
  2. Basicly I figure you could consider it almost super silhouette, I thought I'd avoid calling it such.. well that is *way* more bosozoku then I think is tasteful for a Fairlady.
  3. There really isn't too much too the rear of the car, its pretty much a flat peice of metal. edit 85% of the dark brown area is anywhere from 1/10 an inch to 2 inches thick bondo.
  4. This is what I'm thinking of sorta Personally I don't like the bubble look... I was going to extend the fenders 3 inches and cut the rear section down the middle extending it... Also creating a vent system for the brakes and for the air to water intercooler system I plan on installing. Just checking to see how it would look somewhat...
  5. Maybe you guys can help me out here... My roadster is pretty much what most in the roadster community would consider a parts car.. Thing is being stuck in the middle of the US makes these cars hard to obtain and a bit pricey for rust free examples.. I've been in debate on just going crazy with the car since it needs a bit of work and doing a full widebody adding 3 inches of width to both sides of the car... or going back to 100% stock as I've obtained all the parts to restore the car to showroom... One thing I do know on it is that it will contain a supercharged R16, and will be honest to goodness oldschool pushrod power under the hood.
  6. I love the rat look but only thing I worry about is the cars rusting away due to the look... I wonder if any of them actually protect the aging body with any of the products for such that are clear as I hate the thought of these cars rusting away for looks...
  7. sent you a pm hopefully you got some pictures of the rust.
  8. I'm a stones throw from it.
  9. its a datsun, look everywhere for rust.
  10. holy crap, two of us ratsuners in the same city!
  11. Try talking to woodside, his son has a mini I think is badass. http://forum.ratsun.net/showthread.php?t=14695
  12. I wanted one of these for my first car, the dude just wouldn't come down 100 dollars so ended up with a Firebird. Looks badass though.
  13. Not a datsun but I think it might be of interest to some here. 1972 Honda 600 http://texoma.craigslist.org/cto/1403651163.html Not my car, wish it was though.
  14. Not tell thanksgiving here for rifle, I'd use a bow but I can't pull one back with my shoulders. Though I should see about getting a letter to hunt with a crossbow... Now when that time rolls around I'll be using my good old Springfield Arms 1903. I'm mostly using hunting season though as a lame excuse to get to drive around in the parks with my Baja bugs. Plus I can't argue with the deliciousness of food I get to make throughout the year.
  15. I was thinking... Man, if I saw that in my yard I'd shoot it just to make sure it was dead before doing that... then it jumped and I jumped too.. Looks like I was right.
  16. Pretty sweet, little damage but looks to be no rust. Long as it drives straight and nothing important too baddly damaged its good to roll in my book.
  17. Shoulda bought the banana suit and taken pictures with your goon!
  18. been wasting so much time on the bug lately since its a daily driver compared to my datsun... I'm mostly waiting for the rain to stop so I can fix my Datsun and then let the bug get the real fun treatment... I want to go full coilovers and go where the big jeeps go too!
  19. Duncha mean drivable? Glad to hear another Fairlady got some love though!
  20. Let the car air out a day or two after cleaning, you might check and see if mickey had any friends left in the car elsewhere I had an old truck with this issue, removed all cloth and simple green bombed the inside, then let it sit in the hot sun for a day or two.
  21. You know the windshield looks like one out of a morris mini.... Badass pictures though, its like seeing a time machine as most cars from 59 are much worse in shape.. You've got what I'd call a barn find. :D The more I see pictures of it the more I see things they carried over to my roadster, its pretty neat!
  22. Give him the body from the one roadster and take the R16 from it.. So many motor swap options for it. as for the measurements the motor is about 16 inches from front to back, the width with carbs I'd say is about the same, and it is about 18 inches tall. With transmission it is about 51 inches from front to where the drive shaft begins. I've been trying to find the pictures, but if its not raining I'll get you more exact measurements as my camera didn't have the photos I took for measurement.
  23. Be kinda cool to make it a sleeper with lexan windows and a badass engine, I'll get you those measurements tonight, I've got them sitting on my camera from where I took references for the L swap plan I have.
