  1. Oh really??? One day their will be more Chevy v8 Datsuns than their are L powered. I'm just sharing my opinion. I'll still be here for the final result though B)
  2. Well now that I have some income again I'm going to be rebuild my L asap. Burning oil is getting expensive. 2.2 with flat tops premium gasoline :sneaky: port matching EFI Think that set up could make 150hp (well, not at the wheels) while still getting 20mpg+ ? What pistons should I look for to bore it over?
  3. Boring and Mainstream. Might as well pick up the body and set it on a Corvette frame. The LS1 510 per week ratio is too high right now. Someone do something interesting.
  4. Well I was rolling on these. Then I put these back on. They're 14's. the rear have more lip. And then I painted them last night with what was left of my Coppercoat. One 9$ can did my headgasket, manifold gaskets, and 4 wheels. As of today.
  5. Advice: Before replacing a seemingly bad Alternator. Clean the crap out of it. This applies to any motor.

      That was last years memo...

  6. I think my alternator went out. Charge light has been on all day. All the connections are good and it doesn't run any different if I unplug it and plug it back in. Nothing on the volt meter when I rev it. Is it dead or is there something else I need to check? Yesterday I did some pressure washing under the fenders.

You would have shit your pants at "Ye Olde Hunter" in Alexandria VA in 1960. Complete STENs with barrel welded in the chamber $20. New barrels, unwelded $10. Both as a combination $25. Wrench anyone? Don't ask about the "Dewat" BAR from Venezuela with the chamber welded and the barrel spot welded to the receiver, and the treasury Dept, certified legal "barrel" that just happened to come with a fully original receiver.

  16. Wassup ratsun. I need answers from someones with both KA and L engine experience. I search, I lurk, I read a lot of shit on Ratsun. I'm going to be as specific as possible. In a 620, how does a stock KA24E compare to an L20B in terms of power, fuel consumption, drive-ability, simplicity, longevity, and most importantly, reliability? How does a mildly built l20b compare to a stock l20b in terms of fuel consumption, longevity, and reliability? I.E. stroker 2.2 with flat tops and some su's. How does a stock KA compare to said built l20b? What are the pros and cons of single cam KA vs twin cam KA? Pics related: Pics kinda related: \\ 2 girls, one datsun B)
  17. That's going to be a big problem where I'm living right now. I'd feel safer farther into the mountains. Just me, my dog, and my Datsun. Fly fishing on the Chattooga. Fighting off man eating hillbillies with my Sten Mk II. Good times.
  18. Yeah I know what you mean. I had a Carcano 6.5 x 52 Italian Calvary rifle 1$ a round and only one website sold them. I never fired it. I traded it to a friend for an 1862 Colt .35 blackpowder revolver. He bought a box of 6.5 and it didn't make it to his house. I wish I still had the revolver. Traded it for a good pair of steel toes I needed for work. Guns, tools, guitar, and cars will always be currency. I think there are some major changes to come. I truly believe the world, as we know it, is going to end. Wouldn't you rather have the world be drastically different next year? It sounds exciting.
  19. Datsun Religion I suppose
  20. Ammo? The last ammo I bought was a box of 300 .22 federal for 13 freaking dollars. :sneaky: Mosin rounds are 1$+ around here In 2009 I bought bricks of 500 .22 Remington high velocity jacketed hollow points for 7.50$ each. 5 gallon bucket of surplus 7.62 was 75$~
