  1. I remember in 76 when the "Oldsno-go" 403 showed up in Trans-Ams.Buyers got home ,opened the hood and found a Olds motor. There were "nuclear clouds" over a lot Pontiac dealers.Owners went absolutely apeshit. My current "work car" is a 77 Bonneville with a Olds 403 in it. Runs fine and it's for work-so NBFD. But I found the window sticker in the envelope the PO gave me.Down the bottom is a disclaimer saying engines MIGHT be from another source.GM had been planning this crap years ago completely ignoring the "loyal customer" factor. This is a major reason why they went "tits up".And one of a plethora of reason I despise them.
  2. And the argument could be made that the Pontiac GM in parent company only.
  3. This. Not to mention removing leafs will screw with the brake system.

    Picked up a 620

It needs a "Jets" logo on the doors.
  7. Does it run? If it runs smooth but nosiy, then the valves are O.K.Ask him to explain the snapped bolts/studs.Watch his face as he explains. If he hems & haws and looks off and then comes up with the story-he's full of shit.

  9. My only issue is that if it is a "recent rebuild",then why are the exhaust studs snapped? If it was run like this for an extended period, teh valves could be burnt.
  10. Those are crank numbers-right? And with the 15% drive train loss, that puts it around 180 to the ground. That's only 20 foot pound away from my 2.3 LZ motor(and UNDER 5500 RPM).And we won't discuss radiator location....
  11. Yep-KA power with V-8 size,fuel economy and aggravation
  12. Assuming they are 6 lug-all 620's

  14. Bitchin' find.Neat thing is someone could have the wheels widened to accommodate "real" tires and keep that look.
  15. Raising the front to where it's almost level, negating the NLSV and making the truck dangerous in a hard stop.
