  1. Unfortunately the wells are enormous so it takes a big wheel to fill the gap. I think part of it is, is that you never see styling like this on a GT so it might look odd at first. I wonder what it would look like with flares and even wider rims.
  2. If you also read my thread, it was two pictures and everyone blaming everyone else for everything. Welcome to how we do work
  3. It just a case of blaming the guy that wasnt there... :console:
  4. If I had the money to buy a 2000GT I would modify it like above. Assuming I have the cash for purchase, I have the cash to fix anything. Just like the Z, the GT looks far better lower with wheels that fill the whole wells.

I have a ton of photos of it... I follow him on Instagram. Heres some more:
  7. Either turn the halfshafts and count the driveline rotations or crack it open and count gear teeth. I think some versions have their gears stamped with the ratio.

Yes. Most of the 2nd/3rd world 510s came as straight axles.

  10. Finding a manifold stud kit locally is proving to be a pain.

Sounds like Hooligan has a set through work. Oreillys has a bunch of them, but nothing it seemed was the right size. All SAE shit. Ill check ACE, thanks for the tip!

  11. See... Im good for something. More pictures: Jacked up the car to bolt in the transmission crossmember. Had to do some maneuvering to get everything lined up and good Trans done and engine sitting right Mid Koyo install, valve cover on so shit doesnt get in the head, and started to prep for the manifold installs. Scrapped off the surfaces with a razor. Had a nut stuck on the exhaust manifold stud so I couldnt install any of the actual manifolds. Thinking about just buying a fresh set... I wonder if I can get them local anywhere. Dont have a ton of shit to do, but seems like a lot of little things to finish it up.
  12. With recent events it may happen. Maybe after winter sometime.., the silver lining for me would be that I'd get to purchase a wood grain center console for it now. Maybe even a cool shift knob B)
  13. No, I figured. It was the quite night. I forgot to add that half the night JRock and Goldfish had to stop wrenching to try to sack-tap each other. If we didn't run into the trans issue, we should have been done I bet. If we had the parts on hand, I was about ready to do a manual swap.
  14. Yeah, it didn't help that the process included everyone drinking, installing/removing/reinstalling the transmission 4 times, switching between 3 different torque converters, switching between 2 different flex plates, modifying a flex plate by drilling 4 holes by hand, stopping for dinner, installing the trans/block and then removing it and then reinstalling it. And although we had 5 people in the garage, there seemed to be only 2 people working at a time. It was quite the night. But it's in and I'm working on the rest right now. Everything should go smoothly now. Additional pictures to come.
  15. I'm a dirty, dirty boy. And don't even talk about doing no work. Your only job was to operate the hoist and Frank had to do it half the time.
  16. So you admit this thread is only for cars?
