  1. Do you have any plans for the car? Welcome btw.
  2. Maybe you got a bad pair or they were assembled poorly? Hmmm I have a set of fronts on the way and we shall have to see how it goes. Yeah, the roads up here are horrible, especially all around Seattle. That shit is ridiculous sometimes! Was it only the rears that clunked?
  3. Really looking for Bluebird bumper mounted license plate light.
  4. Im confused on what this thread is asking. I understand the title typo, but the the title and content are totally different. The title asks for Euro tails while the content asks for grilles?
  5. Well Im sold on steering wheels...
  6. Doug, you should spray your seats black to match the rest of the interior. These pictures do it no justice to how clean it is... this thing rocks in person! Paint is legit. Good job putting it back together.
  7. Yeah thats the one Im talking about. Finding a NOS or even a ratty original is hard, and Im usually opposed to replicas/knock-offs due to instances like the video above. Since it was good money I figured it was more replica than knock-off so I was interested. That will probably be the wheel I purchase when Im looking to upgrade.
  8. The vancouver PnP has a 70 510 listed at the beginning of this month. Anybidy set eyes on it?- thinking I might take a trip down there to see it...
  9. Pics of it installed with an interior?- i might be interested if i could see how it meshes with a full interior... I really need a place to put my drinks while i drive.
  10. Looks like a decent fit. Is the boot over the shift hole on trans tunnel?
  11. Haha congrats! I took mine to go do some errands. Had the heater on high and opened the driver-side vent which in turn gave me a mouth full of dead leaves. I guess I should clean out my dash vents.
  12. Has anyone used the Datsun Comp replicas?- they look like good quality and are priced high as well...
  13. Yeah, sounds like a bunch of BS. The place you described sounds awesome though!- plenty of room to work on the Dattos!
  14. Its late, but I figured I should bump. #1 priority item is the flexplate, looking to L20 swap soon.
  15. I wanted to go for a very very subtle look. We will see when I get to the point that Im painting the car though... Im kind of just planning for the future.
  16. Yeah I noticed mine didnt have any either even though Id seen them available in some models. I hope they are not as hard to find as the coat hangers I want. I was planning on making a set of handles out of a set of canvas strips; maybe something to racing harness material.
  17. Well Doug has been helping me out a lot because of his Datsun specific knowledge. I still plan on going to my buddy David for a lot of things. He will be doing the body paint, probably the new interior, stereo setup, etc. Doug and I will be doing the build together and I could use David, but it would turn out to be only him putting it together. I want to get my hands dirty as well. I don't want to just throw money at the car... I want to build the car. I mean come on, it's my car, why wouldn't I put work into it. The only thing my buddy doesn't know is carb stuff, everything else he's good with. I don't plan on being a broke car friend. I've offered a couple times to be a second set of hands reassembling Doug's truck (which is gorgeous btw). I'd like to give back.
  18. Im unfamiliar with the vinyl to even guess a good place to purchase from. I just know my car will be gloss olive once I decide to paint and it would be slick if I had some BRE stripes in matte olive.
  19. So as Ive already written, Doug and I worked on the car the other day and during that experience I got to ride in his blue goon. Its a pretty legit ride and as we came blazing out of the parts store, I knew I needed more power. No longer do I want to rock the granny speed. Ive started talking to Doug and were going to be building a L20b to throw in the green beast. We have a block and head, but I still need to buy all the bits and pieces to make it complete. This will be a good hold off for power and such while I decide on my preferred SR build. For price and ease of swap, this will be a great engine to work with for awhile. I cant wait to start this with Doug (and his vicious beast Zippy the Shiba). If anyone has a L20b 6bolt flexplate/flywheel for sale, I could use it for my auto. Also, anyone local is, if I could borrow some of the more specialized build tools( ring compressor, spring compressor, toque wrenches) I would appreciate it. Id rather not have to buy them. To restate my previous posts, Im so glad to have my heater working now that the car has a thermostate. I still cant believe it didnt have one in there... Now my girlfriend will ride int he car because she wont freeze.
  20. What colors of vinyl do you plan on running? Id be looking at some matte olive in the future if you think thats a color youre thinking of offering. QR codes look nice; good luck with the larger ones.
  21. Well, to each their own, but I like it. If youre going to rock the oil cooler... you have to be able to see the braided lines; I just think they should be shorter.
  22. Goon is looking good... I like the cooler. I would shorten the lines if you can. I dont know what kind of bend radius you can get with those long ProClassic fittings. I read back a couple pages, but didnt see... what rally lights do you have mounted? Im looking to pick up a set, but havent found ones I quite like yet.
