  1. Why are we still talking about this shit... Go work on your truck.
  2. Since my phone (or the service at work) is being dumb, here you go:
  3. To clean mine I drained it and then blew it out with compressed air. Then used acid... Depending on what cane out I would used CLR and either a bunch of nuts and bolts or a small length if chain. Then shook the crap out of it knocking all the stuff off the inside. Thoroughly rinsed with water, then compressed air again, and then I let it dry for the day. Next day cover the inside in POR-15. Good as new! Edit: also, if the gas was sitting in the tank, it was sitting in the lines. If you're not replacing them, make sure you blow them out.
  4. Please dont give up the bamboo tan. Everyone always tries to copy the street fighter look and it comes out like hot garbage.
  5. Regardless if you put an L16/18/20 in it... You still need 620 motor mounts.
  6. What Datsunsholic said. I couldn't figure out which set were broken to tell you which to buy... But you will need 620 mounts not 521.
  7. I'm a little confused. The mounts in your 620 are broken? Or the mounts on the engine you're getting are broken? The engine is drop in. L16/18 is basically the same in every way.
  8. The motor mounts are the same. If you already have them in the truck, then you don't need another set. Motor will just drop in.
  9. This. I'm all about projects, but I would assume there would be more of these if it was remotely easy. Some Z guys dumps upwards of $15K into their cars and none of them are AWD.
  10. Although I too have a Mexican seat cover, I can't believe you got rid of those sweet diamond pattern door cards :(
  11. So you believe in Optimas, but not periods? Looks like a quality battery hold-down.
  12. Haha do you need ball joint spacers? I'll mail them priority; should get down there quick.
  13. They're ready son! Are you still coming up to Everett?
  14. What a crazy radiator hose on the orange one...
  15. No they are not. Out of those 3 I would really choose between the 68/69. I dont think the L20 is worth the extra $800. And since your minimal description of those two years makes them sound identical I would go with the 68 due to the rarity. Its going to be harder to find parts, but it will be nicer once youre finished. I have a 69 and love it, but would take a 68 easily too. Theres nothing (other than larger engines) in the later years I like enough to want to switch to a non 68/69 ride.
  16. Very much so. Still a fun show and Russell did a good job... even if all I did was hang out with the other Datsun owners the whole time.
  17. This was in the area for running cars getting ready to be sold, but it had no price on it yet: Only Datsun actually in the yard for parts. Decent interior minus the steering wheel and hub (I snagged them): Few manuals that were there... I can snag any of them for you and post them (they were $10ea I think): This ran and drove fine... they used it to get around the yard. Said it could be for sale though:
  18. There's a difference between no budget and needlessly wasting money. With that said though, if you plan on AutoX then I would pick up a decent set of coilovers. It will lower the car and give you the adjustability needed to tune the car when you start getting on the track.
  19. I don't think anyone will fault you for taking a Datsun across the Pond. We steal cars from Japan all the time. Question: did you switch to Euro lenses because you like them or is it a requirement to have amber in the lenses?
