Ive thought about looking into those heated seat conversion kits... that way I can keep my factory seats with the benefit of heated seats in the Washington winter.
Edit: Just noticed you quoted me in your signature on how shitty my tires were
Met up with Tdaaj today to handle a trade we have been talking about for a few weeks now. Part was in better than described condition with a great price. Thanks again for the deal Ted!
Snagged one of these today at a local yard... now I just need a 69 Owners manual to fill it.
Tdaaj and I met up today and wandered around the junkyard checking out what it had to offer. Found a few cool items and made a trade. I now have a new double-pop sunroof... best part of the new glass is that it has perfect seals. No more leaky roof in the rain! Oics of the sunroof tomorrow when I see what its going to take to make it fit.
Thanks Ted!
The way I've seen it is as soon as you've gotten rid of sonethibg you're required to post that its been sold. That way members aren't getting PMs about things they don't have anymore. Usually you only look at the last couple pages of posts because that's we're the newest items are.
Otherwise that's going to turn into a crazy job for Lou keeping track of what's available and what's not.
Its a pretty common truck on shipyards, military bases, etc. Theres a few companies that make them... most are not street legal, but are great little trucks for zipping around on private property to haul things.
I have a set of perfect (minus aesthetics) condition tail light buckets for a 69-73 510 with good condition frames, but no lenses. The buckets are pretty dirty, but all hold a lightbulb tight and theres no cracks in the bolt holes. Someone Paid them Forward to me and with a cut taillight panel I can no longer use them. Cost of shipping and theyre yours... oics upon request.
Depending on barrel size, I've seen people cut off the outer steel lips and weld in cut up propane tanks (with the tops and bottoms cut off). They are the same diameter as some steelies an are thick enough for a good barrel.
