  1. You obviously need more research. Like I said, youre brand new. I would recommend you applying whatever money youre getting toward reliable parts. Learn on your car and figure something out. If you jump straight into crazy builds and swaps with no background youre not going to have a good time. This isnt a race for "Best Datsun."
  2. Its like the easiest swap... What people say by the KA being easier is that in stock for its an extra 50hp, EFI, and more reliable. The price of a decent L20 can be around the price of a KA sometimes, so a lot of people just opt for a KA. But the L20 is near drop in where the KA needs all this extra stuff. If youre close to poor just get a good running L20 and call it a day. Youre probaly looking at $800 maybe for a KA install and nearly $4000+ for an SR build.
  3. I vote L20. You are absolutely brand new to cars... without being mean, I'm sure you would struggle rebuilding and swapping in the L20. Take your time with the car and learn. You haven't even finished doing the basic things and you're already talking about an SR.
  4. I think this FS thread got a little out of hand...
  5. What about these: Both, 1978 Ford Mustang II (rear) and the 1987 Toyota Corolla (AE86 rear) share the same Monroe part# 32191 Compressed length: 10.250" Extended length: 16.500" Travel length: 6.250" Lower mounting code (the same for both) 7/16"x1.7/8" OAL
  6. What about running a Rabbit rear shock up front? They have a shorter valve body and good travel length.
  7. Exactly... everyone needs to make their ride the way I want it.
  8. Ive seen people tap and plug the block before... no I didnt mean JB Weld lol.
  9. Why dont you quit pussy-footing around JR and get to bagging already?
  10. Yes you can actually plus the hose if you wanted to... theres a possibility that it blows, but when I suggested it, I was talking about removing the hose entirely and plugging it at the block.
  11. I only was talking about that pan and pickup... thats why I quoted the oil pan statement and only mentioned the pan and pickup.
  12. Id rock that last one if it were a KC... Id also remove the topper, but it looks sweet.
  13. You would just need to plug the heater hoses that come out of the block. You should be able to see them going through the firewall.
  14. Only if you have an open profile. If you lock your profile to only friends then you have no worries. I also would never use Facebook to save images that I really wanted to save to share across forums and such. It has absolutely horrible file compression... plus it has horrible file options. You can only post one size. Flickr gives you the option of about 10 different sizes for the same file upload. Its nice to be able to choose which size you want depending on your needs.
  15. I've seen a couple for sale... There was just one in the local CL, but once again it was an XL. I'd love to find a medium.
  16. So you want to have both air bags and coilovers in the rear? Why wouldn't you just run the bags? The 620 is no different than most trucks... notch the frame, build a nice 4-link, air bag brackets, and boom you're on the ground. Then you just have to deal with the front. I've seen a few frame laying 620s so it's possible. There's no need for a subframe... Just mod the frame already there.
  17. Is the Z24 the only Z block that you can't use a PL510 pan and pickup?
  18. Unless its a RHD actual coupe, please refrain from calling it a coupe... It's not. It's a 2 door sedan. Also, I'm not quite sure you're even ready for a swap if you have to ask which is "better." if you had the knowledge required would you know which engine would fit, which would give you power/reliability you want, and which is in your budget? It just feels like you're not ready with the requisite knowledge to begin something as involved as a swap; especially something like an SR or rotary where neither were designed for a 510.
  19. Gravel is right... there is no excuse for that wing. There is no way that thing is functional...
  20. You complain that its incorrect, but you wont even fix it *sigh* Plus, Wayno already said hes personally seen a truck that matches the facts of Wikipedia. Im not a 520/21 guy, but personal first-hand sight of evidence seems to win in my book.
  21. Thats the beauty of Wikipedia... if you know its wrong, change it :)
  22. Is it an upgrade to the 510 piece? Id like to redo all my brakes like that. Looks slick.
