  1. So Ive been doing some cleanup. Working on getting new carpet to ditch the worn, torn, and rain soaked stock crap. I fixed a few more wiring rats nest areas. And then I got this in the mail: Ill clean it up and see if its nicer than my current dash. Ill pull the harness and clean it up and prepare for a fusebox relocate. And finally pull this cluster to prepare it for an LED retrofit.
  2. Hey, do you have Eddies number down there? He should be able to help you with switches and stuff. Give him a call and explain your '69 build.
  3. I saw you posting this build on JNC. Mad haters over there... luckily you came to the land of nuts and honey Datsuns and rust. We are a little more accepting here. Welcome and thank you for saving a 910 hardtop. Cant wait to see this done.
  4. If you put them in cupcake wrappers they could be :D
  5. Just slightly less than the amount of horsepower that Transformers sticker creates in horsepower.
  6. Obviously there is no current tunnel... That would be sweet. Make a quick sheet metal floor and use it to haul stuff to and from Datsun swap meets. Then install a grill in the trunk to cook up burgers.
  7. I thought I wouldnt post in here, because Im still under the impression that nothings going to happen with this anymore no matter how many time people keep bumping this thread with "Ill only believe it when its in the scrapper" posts, but if it does continue, I would would hate to see all this work for naught. Id hate to see some ridiculous engine set in the rear of the car or stupid golf kart engine. I understand height is an issue, but it would be nice that even after all this work you can keep it Nissan/Datsun. Just make a dry sump A15 engine and run that. If need be, raise the trans tunnel a few inches for the driveshaft. After all this work, it would be nice to keep it as Datsun as possible as you wanted to drive a slammed 510 and not a some ridiculous hybrid vehicle made of rusty sheet metal.
  8. Dash was shipped via USPS if that helps. GLWS.
  9. Please dont necromance 90pgs of FS ads because you dont see "sold." If people have stuff for sale they will see your ad.
  10. I just had an entire dash frame and gauge cluster shipped from CA to WA for $29. It has some weight to the box... Im sure you can get it a little cheaper than $125.
  11. Welcome to the site. I have a friend in Missoula.... she just got married a couple weekends ago. Car looks decent, glad to see another 710 coming to the site. As far as owning a manual, practice is the best thing. When I first started, I would drive around the suburbs because there was lots of stops and turns. Almost anyone can shift gears once the car is moving, but going from a stop is where you have the greatest chance of stalling. The suburbs had lots of places where I had to stop for stop signs and slow and downshift for turns. Also, go out at night to hilly areas and practice going into first on hills. That always seems to be the hardest part of manuals. You will get used to the power steering deficiency. Its harder to turn at slower speeds, but really responsive when youre going. Once again welcome to the site. We love pictures here and please use the search bar to look up any questions you have. Theres lots of info here to get even a beginner going.
  12. Unfortunately its the wrong style... oh well, hunt is still on.
  13. Full length. Here you go OP, figured this would help out:
  14. Thats what Im saying... I wouldnt doubt there would be special event releases for some of their corporate events, but theres no way that specific item was released by Hotwheels. It looks like hot garbage. The printed image is a horrible quality, you can barely read 'Datsun 510' because its neon yellow on a purple and white background. Thats just poor graphic design. Anyway, stopped by Toys R Us again and still nothing. Thought maybe since they showed up in Oregon, maybe they would be up here. Talked to a manager (saw me wandering around the Hotwheels section looking through everything) and he gave me some tips on when to find them up here in Silverdale, so hopefully I can snag them when they come through. He did say that since they were so new that it takes a bit to get out to all stores but his store will get them for sure since they are new.
  15. There's no way that's real... That's the worst graphics I've seen on a package ever. Why wouldn't it say Hotwheels?

    L20B Heads???

Youve already found the Jason Grey pages... theres lots of combos out there. Every aspect of each head has been covered before and I implore you to use the search function. Theres tons and tons of info out there on each head. Chamber sizes, shapes, valves, etc. There isnt just a best head out there, but there are most definitely some that are way lower on the list. Take a look over on the Realm as they have a lot more technical specs for 510 components.
  17. Fuck... I came in here to say something and I spaced. I dont even know what Im writing this.
  18. Ive since gone solely to Mac and havent looked back. Theres no instance that Ive regretted my decision and Ive never even wanted to dual boot for any reason. I work with Linux and Windows for the Navy and I dont need any of that headache in my personal life. Ellipsoids usually come in pairs, but that doesnt mean you cant buy 4 from someone selling more than one set.
