PC311189.jpg

ok when eva i build some thing weather its a house or table i always want it square plum and parallen

so that level is square and will be used to measure off

PC311190.jpg

i then make the mark of where the center of the notch will be later

PC311191.jpg

plum the lines down

PC311193.jpg

PC311197.jpg

PC311198.jpg

PC311200.jpg

PC311212.jpg

PC311215.jpg

there some photos so you can see the notch start i guess

i will plate this later

tomorrow before starting on mount the air bags i will get this braces better

and plate the iner frame rails so it dosen't flex where the plate is on the z

and with the z it was cute with a 3mm grinding blade and its a 5mm plate so its 2mm out but thats fine

nice work, wish i had empty garage space to do the same to one of mine...

this is the best website, using the brain to build instead of the wallet!!!

The way your 4 link is setup right now you have no instant center, which will cause adverse handling affects. Think of instant center as an imaginary line coming off your link bars. In a properly setup 4 link, the imaginary line will meet close to your front bumper at ride height (when you lower link is parallel to the ground). It looks something like this:

instant.jpg

From the looks of your link setup, it looks like the upper links are angled upwards, away from the lower link. You have plenty of room in your hoop, before you get too much further, i would deff be looking into lowering it a little bit. Just trying to save you some headache.

that makes no sence because every line will meet up

unless the parral

this is accauly a shock 4link like out of a box or what eva but i guess i will look in to it its still only tacked in

Ryan, the thing you really need to look at is whether or not the bars are parallel at ride height. If they're not, then they need to be adjusted. At ride height, your lower bars should be somewhat parallel with the road also.

Your lower should be parallel to the ground at ride height, and the front of your upper should be slightly pointed towards the ground.

Your getting the idea with this pic. Now you just need to imagine the instant center point (the point where the 2 lines meet) around the front of the truck (front bumper).

tell me what you think about the rocker

Link to comment

that 4 link looks a lot better man, and yeah like bonvo says, just incase u weren't going to already gusset the bottom too. I can't really invision how that sill would look, so I can't give u an opinion. Would u be doing it to the tub too? And have you measures up all your hood to engine clearance and all that stuff, can u run stock hood or will you have to run a cowl or something of that nature?

Link to comment

shock hood will be fine if i do the rocker sill thingo

other wise i would have to section the fenders and make the hood more level and would change the hole look of the truck

so thats why i have to do the sill

with the gusset there only temp as i said ealyer because i will plate the sides when i ge some steel

only weld the gusset in so i could keep on with the mock up of the engine mounts and all that crap

peanuts whats your msn man ?

test-1.png

these that sill set up so tell me what yah think

and i'll make the bed match

I think that the new sill will look terrible, ruins the bodyline of the truck. Defeats the purpose of bagging it to make it low.

Sorry, but it's just my opinion. And it's your truck, build as you wish.
