RLJ
Very Nice! Even smog legal for California. Having a great start to the auction. 2 Quote Link to comment
Stoffregen Motorsports
Yeah, a $30k opening bid isn't a bad way to start off. 1 Quote Link to comment
RLJ
First day out of the gate and already at $50k. That’s one heck of a start and still over six days left on the auction. 2 Quote Link to comment
Stoffregen Motorsports
Could be the one really interested bidder laying down suppressing fire. He/she could be saying - back off, this is mine. So yeah, could be good or bad. 1 Quote Link to comment
RLJ
Looks like the starting high bids were a good thing. Three hours left and over $130k!! Very impressive. Quite the testament to your build Matt. 1 Quote Link to comment
Stoffregen Motorsports
Fingers crossed. It has officially beaten high bid on an FJ60/62. 2 Quote Link to comment

I wouldn't be surprised if the sale fell through do to non payment and then put back on the market. Has any land cruiser ever hit anything even close to this price? My cousin just sold one on auction and it didn't hit 20k. I thought they were averaging at about 30-40k? Quote Link to comment
Stoffregen Motorsports
The next highest sales price (at auction) was $127k. You have to account for the $70k in LS3 swap and entire mechanical restoration, plus this one also had a body restoration. My average FJ60/62 LS swap runs about $70k, on a customer owned vehicle. Another FJ60 sold three days ago for $48k, and it was beautiful,. but not a resto-mod. Another LS swapped FJ60 sold last month for $33k, but it is not emissions legal and not restored in any manner. So yeah, if it doesn't hit $20k, it's probably original and crusty. No offense. 1 Quote Link to comment
Stoffregen Motorsports
FWIW - I was betting it would reach 160k. Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
I like these in all versions. truck, wagons ect.... They actually cheap in other countries https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1997-toyota-fzj75/ Quote Link to comment
Stoffregen Motorsports
Add a CA title (with emissions sticker) and you just double the value. Quote Link to comment
IZRL
Maybe I'm stuck in pre-insane car prices times. Back in the good ol days... back about 5 minutes ago. Edited May 8 by IZRL 2 Quote Link to comment
Fat510
Not since you put a chevy in it, but on the plus side the milage is about the same. Edited May 9 by Fat510 1 Quote Link to comment
Stoffregen Motorsports
The fuel mileage is actually better and it has triple the horsepower. Quote Link to comment
