1969 510 hood hinges

I was wondering if there was a change where the hood hinges mount during the 69 model year? My car was made in 5 / 69 and if Darin's was made earlier maybe his has the mounting points the same as 68 on the body. It looks to me like Datsun had some variation in production of the hinges.

 

 

Hainz, I had seen hinges listed on Futofabs website but they are on backorder. My search brought up two results but I have no idea if they are any good to you. I will be refurbishing mine, maybe I should post here on how it goes.

Unfortunately, I do not have the Vin sticker like you do. Mine is missing because someone had repainted the car at one point. however, my white 510 is made an 11/69, which makes it a 1970. and those hinges are different. they have the smaller arches like all the others. So my assumption is those hinges that are aftermarket are 1970 to 1973 only. From what DatsunMike said, based off of my VIN number from my 69 he assumes that it should be made between April to May based on the number.

I think I have spare hinges from a 71/72 but I dont know where they at. But thanks for the links. I thought it was Futofab. Zcarparts is a nice 1 stop shop.

It's interesting that the Zedsaver look to be original parts refurbished and replated.  I wonder if they pay any attention to the differences.  There is no suggestion of different years being available.

 

ZCarDepot parts are most likely the same as Futofab or anyone else sells.  I can't imagine there are multiple vendors out there making these.
