zed1
Does anyone know the thread of the interior door handle of the 520/521/410 screw, part number 00334-01210? (Unfortunately, the threaded holes have paint overspray and I cannot determine the proper thread pitch.) Item number 50: Item number 7: Thanks, Keith Edited January 5, 2023 by zed1 Quote Link to comment
Stoffregen Motorsports
Probably 5mm, but I really don't know. JIS is what Datsuns use. Look at the chart below. EDIT - deleted image because of bad info. Google JIS metric instead. Edited January 6, 2023 by Stoffregen Motorsports Quote Link to comment
thisismatt
Good chance it's standard since the chassis is standard on the 521. I can check tomorrow 1 Quote Link to comment
KELMO
This part # is not listed in my Standard Parts Catalog book from Nissan but it also only lists metric dimensions. I'll look at the 411 today and see if Matt and I come up with the same thing. I think the rear doors have the same door pull on the rear doors. 1 Quote Link to comment
Stoffregen Motorsports
Oh, whoops. 521, missed that. 1 Quote Link to comment
thisismatt
#10-32 x 3/4" pan head Phillips. Could pass for an M5-0.8, but it's not. Edited January 6, 2023 by thisismatt 1 1 Quote Link to comment

Look at the chart below. Two things on this chart I find curious. I have never found a 5 x 0.9 on a Japanese car, but usually the 5 x 0.8. Also, 8 x 1.25 is a very common JIS thread. Not sure I have ever seen an 8 x 1.5 on a Japanese car I have worked on. Quote Link to comment
thisismatt
That was for the plastic pull. I'm not sure if the metal pull uses a different screw? Might be a a flat or, I would bet an oval head on those, I don't remember for sure...it is a different part number Quote Link to comment

Yeah, I should have caught that. Sorry for the crappy chart. I'll delete it so there's no more confusion. Quote Link to comment

KELMO
OK, a day late and a dollar short. Agree with Matt. The screw seemed very loosey goosey in the M5-0.8 nut. 1 Quote Link to comment
