frank88
Hi Guys. I want to know if this is a stock booster or if for some reason it has been moved forward of the firewall? The piece behind the servo doesn't look oem to me. Car is a 76 620, L20B. Thanks 1 Quote Link to comment

frank88
Thanks for the speedy reply. Shame its oem, It's pretty much the biggest master setup I've ever seen! 1 Quote Link to comment
2wheel-lee
I've always wondered about this spacer. What's its purpose? Anyone remove it or make a shorter spacer and use a shorter rod? Yes, I know some people remove the booster entirely when doing engine swaps, but I want to keep mine--I just want more clearance. 1 Quote Link to comment
wayno
You could try the 1973/74 booster, it is smaller round, but you would need the proper spacer for between the booster than master brake cylinder and that spacer doesn't come with rebuilt boosters. 1 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
I think the spacer moves the booster out to give more room for the clutch master. It might also provide more clearance for the steering column just below it. 1 Quote Link to comment
wayno
That is called a pedestal Mike, the spacer is between the booster and the brake master.
