angliagt
Still looking into that '97 King Cab,but need to figure out what shipping would be first. It doesn't need to be delivered to Roanoke.I could pick it up within a day's drive,if it brings the price down. Thanks in advance. Quote Link to comment
MikeRL411
"Best" and "Most Affordable" may be mutually exclusive. I wish you a satisfactory outcome to your search! Be sure to check out any bidders. Some have been known to quote safe delivery and then hire some bagger to drive the vehicle cross country. Quote Link to comment
Draker
Have you checked uship.com? That will give you a ballpark. Quote Link to comment
Draker
I started a thread similar to this a week or so ago.. Just different endpoints. Here is one Wayno recommended. I used this guy below to have a vehicle transported from Shelby NC to Vancouver WA in a closed container for around $1800.00 about 5 years ago, the driver hit 3 major snow storms, one was the day it was picked up in NC and the other 2 storms on the way so it didn't arrive on schedule, but it did arrive, the vehicle was not operational and had no working brakes of any type, it had to be winched up onto the trailer and rolled off with a rope to control the speed it came off the truck, it was delivered to my address. Here is the guy I used, I found him thru the guy I bought the vehicle from as he had used him in the past. William Morden Plymouth Auto Transport, LLC o: 877.486.9091 / f: 877.486.9092 c: 954.856.3494 / d: 772.204.0728 Quote Link to comment
angliagt
I posted it on Uship - got a bid of over $2200. I think that's too much. I'll try the other one tomorrow. What's the o,f,c & d in front of the numbers? Quote Link to comment

wayno
By the way I had to put off the pickup date by over a month because it turned out that the owner did not have a title even though he said he owned the vehicle free and clear. I also got another quote for another vehicle and that one was sold before I could commit, the guy was not upset. Quote Link to comment
angliagt
I've decided to pass on it,as it was starting to cost more than I want to spend.I'll just keep looking for another one closer to me. Thanks for all who responded. Quote Link to comment
