BACKWOODS DAVE
I used "Rust Mort" to convert the rust but I have not decided what the next product I will use before I install the quarter. My new issue is what I am going to use to replace the "rails" under the floor pans. Any sugggestions? Quote Link to comment
72wagun
I sure like watching projects like this take shape. It's nice for armatures like me to see how the pros do stuff. My new issue is what I am going to use to replace the "rails" under the floor pans. Any sugggestions? Although I'm not an auto body expert, I do work with sheet metal in my work. You might check with an industrial fab shop and see if they can make you some new "rails". They could put some heavy gauge sheet metal into a large press brake, and make some custom "hat" sections that you could weld on to the bottom. The nice part is that they can make them exactly the dimension you want them. Quote Link to comment

yello620
Is that a frame rack in those pics? I need a frame checked. Z car is looking good, nice progress. spot weld drilling sucks. Quote Link to comment
BACKWOODS DAVE
it is a frame rack. But if you need to check a frame you dont really need a frame rack. you need a tram gauge and a tape measure. here are some pics of the pans fit just need to do some final trimming and prep before welding.
