ok so ya, we got the tranny in today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

tried to start the bitch but the battery was low on juice an i think i may have some wires mix matched on the dizzy or something not sure.. also might be out of gas, tomorrow if its not shitty out i will try the gf's battery and i will get a can of gas :) but ya man that damn first pilot bushing fucked me, this time the tranny slide right on in like it belonged there (cus it DOES) i need to bleed the brakes an give her a good look over after i drive it a little an it should be all gravy

because when i undid the motor mounts to lower the motor so i could get to that far rear bolt i didnt want them to snag on my cloths or me to push on them to hard or what not so i just unplugged themk, theres like 2 possible combinations, like i said i think the battery didnt have enough juice or something, will problem solve a little tomorrow if i can

ok so i put in another battery from my buddys car an she fired right up, she moves forward an she moves backward, i couldnt drive it cause my gimped se-r is behind her an this piece of shit mini van too but she does run an move!!!! yay!! lol..

 

i guess i did hook up the dizzy correct the first time but my battery just didnt have enough juice

Hi well here's my two cents

I bought a new clutch and the bushing was a bit smaller that the input shaft

so check the bushing on the shaft before you install it.

hope this helps

just incase to remove the old bushing use the tool that screws in and has a gease fitting on the get you grease gun and out she come if not get a socket and exstention put it on backwards fill the bushing w/ grease the hit the grease with custom tool you just made and a hammer good luck

don't put grease on the bushing but a small or light dap of disc brake grease on the splines do just fine .. bert..

well thanks bert but actually its already done an turns out i messed the bushing up the first time, so i took yello620's advice via telephone an put some black tape around a bolt just the right size to make a nice seal in the pilot bushing and it worked like a charm, and ya i made sure the new pilot bushing fit nicely and i was extra careful putting it in this time.
