distributorguy
Does anyone have a transmission bellhousing they can sell or loan so we can dyno out motor at the end of the month? This is for the Bonneville project. Something from a T5 or auto should work, to fit around the stock 5-speed flywheel. You can find all my contact info at: advanceddistributors.com on the top right corner of the page. I'd work out a cash deal, trade, barter, or ??? It just needs to fit onto an L20b and clear the flywheel. Quote Link to comment
shacks510
Bell housing from an auto trans will work. I know the 510 ones are removable. Not sure about autos from different vehicles. Quote Link to comment
Stoffregen Motorsports
I assume you're looking for a short bellhousing, not the whole front of a trans? Are you going to adapt your own trans or ??? Some of the 280ZX had T5's, but they are pretty scarce. Quote Link to comment
distributorguy
This is just to hook up to the dyno - for a mount and to shield the flywheel assembly. I'll fit an S10 clutch to adapt to the dyno's input shaft. That auto trans bellhousing would be fine. I just need SOMETHING. Locally we have NO support for any of this and I can't seem to source any options. Quote Link to comment
distributorguy
I just found one from a 200SX. That is the same, correct? I think they ran the L20b??? Quote Link to comment

sebpv
the 200sx is the same, i bolted a 5 speed on my L16 Quote Link to comment
distributorguy
Thanks guys. You're the reason this forum is so great! Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
A Z series front case would also work. Automatics are best as they are true bell housings. Standard transmissions are really the front case with bell housing combined. Quote Link to comment
