datsunfreak
See a lot of these. Ordered one for my 620 and was curious if anyone had first hand experience at installing it? Tips on how you attached it, brackets, etc? I'm sure I can figure out something, just hoping to learn from someone who's already been there. B) 2 Quote Link to comment

ownTer
Seen it done a few times now, think i prefer the VW lip over the Camaro. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Most guys just screw it in from the back of the valance. Big screws. Always thought it was a little too narrow. Quote Link to comment
oldskoolvws
Here's the MK1 VW Large duckbill. This is Ben's site, he's cool as hell. Got tons of parts from him for my water cooleds. They also make a small version. http://www.mk1autohaus.com/2-Piece-Duckbill-Large-Chin-Spoiler_p_6452.html Quote Link to comment

Cross
I have one on my 620 I drilled pilot holes and then ran self tap screws into it. I am new to the forum though and I have nothing posted yet. 1 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Welcome to Ratsun.... maybe introduce yourself and your bullet side in General Discussion, and as always more pictures of the best looking truck ever made. 1 Quote Link to comment

datsunfreak
I have one on my 620 I drilled pilot holes and then ran self tap screws into it. So the screws go into the little lip on the bottom of the valence? Quote Link to comment
Cross
Yep. Just get small enough self taps and washers and you're good to go. Also thanks for the welcome Mike, I've been using the knowledge that you post on here on my build so far. So thanks for that too. I'm actually pretty terrible about documenting what I do and about taking lots of pictures but my good friend Matt has been taking tons of pictures. So once I get some more free time I'll put up what we've done so far. Quote Link to comment
datsunfreak
Yep. Just get small enough self taps and washers and you're good to go. Since the truck in question is about to get painted, I think I will try to weld some washers to the valence lip, then the spoiler can bolt to those. I just wanted to work out the mounting before paint goes on...
