Eccles
so went out and test fitted everything after removing the engine mount on spare engine turns out that theres another issue after bolting it up this here is the issue and yet again no biggie, I'm looking into either step washers or ill shave the header mounting points thinking the the shaving as then it will sit nice and flat in the process i started cleaning up the header 3 Quote Link to comment
Charlie69
I would use step washers. Have a machinist make some up for you. Be sure and have extras made for when you drop one and can not find it. 3 Quote Link to comment
Stoffregen Motorsports
You can make your own step washers by welding some strips of steel to the one side of the washer. No machining required. 3 Quote Link to comment
Charlie69
Machining is more accurate and with pinch holding dissimilar metals, cast aluminum and cast iron, I personally would like the pressure created from tightening to be equally distributed to each piece of metal being captured. 2 Quote Link to comment

Eccles
heres how it sits on a flat surface so now it bolts up its time to mount into doug so we can mod the engine mount and build an exhaust so off the tray came then i pulled out the pressure washer and cleaned the chassis so my daughter can paint it gave the cab a pressure wash too and made sure everything is working fine for mock up 3 Quote Link to comment

Charlie69
Take the throttle linkage off the stock carb and install it on the Weber use the stock throttle cable if it is long enough. I always use the stock carb linkage on my Weber installs. Be sure and put a lit return spring on the Weber so it will always return to idle. Webers have a flat spot in them if you stomp the pedal to the floor if you accelerate evenly they pull real nice. 1 Quote Link to comment

Oz620
Hey Eccles, what are you painting your daughters chassis with? have you heard of KBS coatings? worth a look in, similar to POR15 but aussie made and they do it in kit form so you can get everything you need to have an as rust free chas as you can. 3 Quote Link to comment
