Tomanyhobos
Would these http://corbeau.com/nissan-datsun-b-210-75-79-seat-brackets.htmlmake it so that I could put Corbeau Baja RS seats into my 1976 Datsun b210? because i know that the car has the weird things on the floor that make it hard to find new seats for the car. BrooklynAnnarkie
Those are cool! I have no idea about using seats from other cars, but I'm going to have to replace mine so I'm eager to learn what you find out! Quote Link to comment
Dolomite
I'm stepping out on a limb here, but its likely that corbeau brackets work with corbeau seats. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
If you have a CA spec B210, no. Quote Link to comment
Tomanyhobos
What is a CA spec? Quote Link to comment
bilzbobaggins
California emission compliant Quote Link to comment
Tomanyhobos
What do I have? I'm sorry I have no idea, I just want to get this car alive and looking good. Quote Link to comment
j_boy_619
Do you have a catalytic converter? Check under your drivers seat, is there a huge lump? Quote Link to comment
Tomanyhobos
Not that I see Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Looks like the floor has the catalytic converter bulge. Its only on one side. to verify if is a Calif. Emissions car, check the emissions sticker under the hood . It will say Calif. or Federal. Quote Link to comment
j_boy_619
Yeah, you can check that or the sun visor on the driver side. Quote Link to comment
Tomanyhobos
The photo i posted before is the only "sticker under the hood" and the thing on "the sun visor on the driver side" is gone. Quote Link to comment
bilzbobaggins
Cant fully remember, do the ca emission cars have the warning light on the dash? Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
The photo i posted before is the only "sticker under the hood"The photo you posted is of the aluminum ID plate in the engine bay. By law all B210s sold in USA had a sticker for emissions. It was on the underside of the hood. It was literally a sticker. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
See the bulge next to the tunnel? Your drivers seat (not flat on the bottom) will also be different from the passengers (flat on the bottom) Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Does Corbeau sell brackets for that? Quote Link to comment
Tomanyhobos
http://corbeau.com/nissan-datsun-b-210-75-79-seat-brackets.html Other than these I don't know. Quote Link to comment
Tomanyhobos
I still don't know though do I have the CA one? If I do (and it sounds like I do) what type of seats are able to go into it? because modding seats is much better than modding the body of the car. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Look at the seat risers built into the floor of the car. Passenger: all even Driver: ??? What do you see? So it is not the seat you must worry about. Quote Link to comment
az_rat210
Seat Pan [_________________ ] [ ] [____] Rail [ ] Rail The seat pans are shaped as above to clear the hump in the floorboard and are that way on both sides. If you get the seat pans and rails, you could get seats from another car the same width/length and swap over the bottom fill to the old seat pans and mount the backs from different seats to it. On my 78 B210 I did this with Pulsar seats. It worked out ok, was more comfortable than the B210 seats for sure. The seats dont work so well now in my 75 B210 as its flat bottomed. I need different seats myself. But using the original style pans and rails to clear the hump is the only way you are going to keep the seats lower done unless you get custom made pans for new seating. The backing on the B210 seats mounted with 1 bolt per side. The Pulsar seats had a long extension so I was able to mount using the hinge bolts, then drilled extra holes in the 78 seat pans so the seat back was held in place securely. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Here is a B210 catalytic converter seat Quote Link to comment

Tomanyhobos
Okay I have the CA one. Dose any one know where I can get brackets that work for the CA B210? Because if I find the brackets then I should be able to put in almost any seat I want, correct? Quote Link to comment
B210GX
then I should be able to put in almost any seat I want, correct? Incorrect.. how tall are you? I'm 5' 10" and have miata seats in mine, and they are about as low as I can get them and still have them slide. My baseball cap touches the ceiling every now and then. Quote Link to comment
