Corona521
I'm desperately trying to get stock wheels on my 521 so that I could put my original hubcaps on. The trouble is, the original 14s don't clear the disc brakes I have on the rear end. The wheel would need another inch or so to clear the caliper. IVe got some 15" rims on there rear now with the original 14s on the front end. Any advice or ideas? Quote Link to comment
hobospyder
Get some 15" stealies, weld some nubs on and pop on stock hubcaps? Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
K5's w/ball bearings welded to the wheels to hold the dog dishes. Quote Link to comment
Corona521
Thanks, I'll look into these. Are K5s hard to come by? Are they the closest thing to datsun wheels in terms of looks? 1 Quote Link to comment
datson4life
Thats one clean looking 521 Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
Not my truck-just my wheels. Uberkevin is now the owner of both. 1 Quote Link to comment
datson4life
Are those also called rallys? 1 Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
K5 rallys. 15x8. Yes. I do not remember tire size I put on those. I'll text him to find out. They fit exactly how I wanted them to. 3" blocks on that truck. 1 Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
195/65R15. Easily obtainable tire. Cheap. 1 Quote Link to comment
uberkevin
I really want the hub cabs on my wheels!! Love the way they fit, look and the ride isn't that bad.. well in the city holy shit! NO! 1 Quote Link to comment
Corona521
Good info. I'll look into some 15 inch steelies. They should be 15x 4.5 is that right? what are my options as far as the brakes go. Would I be able to replace the caliper with a smaller one? 1 Quote Link to comment
uberkevin
I'm assuming you have four wheel disc brakes? Or just rear?? I mean if you have the stock wheels on the front with discs then why wouldn't it fit the back, the calipers? Quote Link to comment

Should fit your calipers too-if not, longer studs and a small spacer will work perfectly. I wouldn't shop for anything less than 7" wide. 1 Quote Link to comment
Corona521
Yea I have disc brakes all the way around. The ones in the back are different. I think they come from an Isuzu trooper. Front ones off a 720. 1 Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
That doesn't matter. For what you are looking for we gave you the best option. 1 Quote Link to comment

flatcat19
They don't look like the dog dishes will sit flush. Narrow too. 1 Quote Link to comment

Only 4x4 C10s were 6 lug. Happy searching. Quote Link to comment
Corona521
They're 15x6 Why should be at least 7" wide? 1 Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
You can get what you'd like. I prefer as much contact as I can. And wider wheels just look sexy. Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
AND...you said you were looking for steel wheels that the stock dishes will work with. Not much else out there that fit Datsun caps as well as 1.) stock wheels or 2.) K5s. You asked. We told. Quote Link to comment
mrbigtanker
Whats wrong with your 14 and 15 inch set up? that looks good also. I am running 17's and 18's on my truck. And if you do go with 15x8's get a 195-205/50/15 65's are to tall period. Quote Link to comment

denmarkboy
If your only looking for an inch of clearance you can use these. I 've used them on tons of 4x4 swaps and drum brake chevys that i wanted to put small bore centers on . they will allow you to run stock 14's . http://www.amazon.com/6x139-7-Spacers-Escalade-Suburban-Silverado/dp/B00B5HSDHO/ref=sr_1_7/179-6028389-3954223?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1424362290&sr=1-7 1 Quote Link to comment
