69 510 2door revival

Well it all started last saturday i got a phone call from my buddy asking me if i wanted a 69 2 door. i said of course. how much?. he said free. that got the ball rolling. turns out it has sat in a field few years an the previos owner had dreams of turnin her into a race car, but never happend. but there loss has been my gain. the first pic i saw of her was this

so i jumped on it. today we dug her out. an here are the pics of what i found.

The only parts idont have for her is the whole taillight assemebly an rear suspension. if any bod has these parts an would like to part with them let me know. thanks jason

wow i forsee body work in your near future :D what the hell is the aluminum on the front for looks a little restrictive for radiator flow:fu: nice project and a big one hope to see it going soon

no i brought that incase the owner changed his mind:D:cool:. na it was to attack the blackberries that grew threw an around it. an that aluminum piece will be off a soon as i get er in my drive way.

status report.... got her home stripped an cleaned. roundin parts up an havng trouble findin a couple parts. taillight housings, heater core, 2 door doors, wing windows, pilar vents, wper motor an linkage, an a back window. if any body has these parts an will to ship let me know. i also have collected alot of misc parts an would be willing to try an trade as well. i will be takin picks tomorrow an post. thanks jason

Good job saving another poor old car. It'll be really interesting to see how much life you can bring into that thing. Almost looked like a skeleton out in that field.

yea its real sold only 2 cancer holes in the floor.an its been in that field for over 10 years. but i got a question, were would i get the bolts that hold the rear suspension to the body.(stock ones were torched)? never changed those before.
