DATSUN671
Wondering if the 91 nissan hardbody brake caliper will bolt on a 1978 datsun 620 knuckle? Thanks for the help. Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
Swap to 720 spindles and have at it. Well covered topic. Search bar is in the upper right. Quote Link to comment
mklotz70
I agree with flatcat19, but I would suggest spindles after '86. The hardbody setup should fit stock wheels better. If you decide to go with dropped spindles after you set this up, you'll be able to use the same rotor. There's no dropped spindles for the 720's prior to '86 so you'd have to change rotors if you switch to dropped later. Find a good donor and pull the entire spindle with hub/rotor/caliper/hose. You pop two ball joints and the tierod end......swaps right over. Quote Link to comment
Z-train
CRS time......don't D-21 set-ups require 15 inch rims? Quote Link to comment
dscottdatsun
15" wheels are only needed if you install drop spindles. Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
Most Hardbodies came on 14s. 1 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
15" wheels are only needed if you install drop spindles. But if the hubs and rotors are dropped wouldn't the caliper mount be dropped also? What's going to rub? Quote Link to comment
wayno
But if the hubs and rotors are dropped wouldn't the caliper mount be dropped also? What's going to rub? The lower balljoint, steering arm, ect. is still in the same place, but the rim moves up 2 1/2 inches. Quote Link to comment

_chiefjt
If you look at his location his resources a limited. Being on Guam there probably isn't any donor trucks. lol Quote Link to comment
