red13
I have trouble with egwish. I have tried to beat the breather tube in with a hammer, but the tube will not go in. Do I need to try and heating it first or the block? Or do I get a bigger hammer? Quote Link to comment
tr8er
It should slide in to the raised lip about 1-2" in from the tip of the breather. Mine is not even snug, just slides in. Quote Link to comment
red13
it just flops around in the hole. Theirs no snugness at all. Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
bigger hammer this is not hard get it on there. sand paper it Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Probably dented which would reduce it's diameter and make it sloppy. Wrap with the sticky sided metallic muffler tape until it's snug. It's not critical that it be perfectly air tight, although it probably will be. Quote Link to comment
Eomund
Freeze it man. It'll make the tube smaller. It might not be round like mike was saying, may wanna look at that. But if you cool the tube, and maybe even heat the engine a tad, it'll buy you some room. Quote Link to comment
tr8er
It's loose in the hole! He stated it twice. It flops around. Just push it in till it seats on the rim of the tube. If it comes out while driving, dent it a bit to make it grab the hole. But you may not need to do anything aside from putting it in the hole. Quote Link to comment
red13
finally got it i had a tappered wrench i shove in the tube and hit it with a hammer to expand it enough to catch, thanks guys Quote Link to comment
