I picked up Yella from Curt in Grant's Pass and immediately drove 400 miles with no problems but a fuel filter changing.

 

while changing the filter in Crescent City Yella made a friend with another '72 521 that belongs to this 70 year old guy named Dean.

 

 

 

Yella has a W53 head?

it's a $50 paint job atop what I can only tell to be pristine  stock bamboo underneath. Yeah it was on the classies a month ago, then he didnt want to sell, then he called me outa the blue to say yes he did.

30 hours and I picked up four Hitchhikers, changed a fuel filter, met a 70 year old 521 owner, stopped at a yard sale to buy two jerry cans for $10, and stopped for gas twice.

The color of the interior makes me think it was some kind of green originally.

Great score. Lots of meat on the head still. It's grey green 546 also known as seafoam green.

Drivers side looks a little rough, but it still is a great truck and it's a 521 so you got the best.
