WHERE TO BUY NEW FUEL TANK FOR 510?

any idea where to buy new fuel tank for 70 510 coupe? Or even get my old fuel tank restored.?

Iam located in central california area.

any infos guys.

If leaking, there are kits to line the inside with a gasoline proof coating. If rusty they can be flushed out. I've used driveway gravel and swirled it around followed by a good rinse. These tanks are not built any more so that leaves one from a wrecking yard of from someone that has put in a fuel cell and has a good old one to throw away. Last is retro fitting something from something else, making one or removing the spare tire and fitting a fuel cell..

you are aware the is a big differance between a coupe and a sedan???

2-Dr sedan and 4-door sedan use the same gas tank. But early tanks differ from late tanks.

They arent available new buddy. Only thing new you will find is a fuel cell unless someone has something NOS sitting in an attic somewhere ($$$$).

you wont find one new unless someone is reproducing them in another country 

refurbishing them is also not cheap but doable 

finding a good used one is your best option
