Ratwagon1600
I'll try and keep this short. My Nissan stagea starter motor died over twelve months ago so I pulled the car off the road and have had it sitting outside, waiting for the motivation to fix it. Misses Ratwagon wants it gone so I dragged out what I thought was the old starter motor, stripped it, new brushes, bearings, cleaned it up a treat, bench tested it and it ran like a champ. Bolt in time, and, it wont fit! Much cursing, swearing, measuring, checking, pulling apart and putting back together, still wont fit. Check of part no's, measurements and much head scratching later, its an 13b starter motor I had hoarded, not the Stagea one. Problem is now, I dont know where the fuck ive put the original starter motor. Ffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuccccccccckkkkkkkkk!!!!!!!!!! Quote Link to comment

Tristin
Jason, Ive seen pictures of your place... maybe if you cleaned it a little and stopped hoarding all those parts youd be able to find all the things you needed. :poke: Quote Link to comment
Ratwagon1600
Skib, seriously funny post dude. Personally, this is at the pointy end of my fuckup list. The Stagea was basically the Nissan R33 Skyline Goon. Mine is one of the earlier ones (96 model). Came standard with the RB25det, auto trans, 4 wheel drive, single turbo, twin cam, leather interior, twin sunroof, and overall not a bad car. Downside is its really thirsty on gas, and just not practical for what I want. Still, when it was on the road, a lot of fun to drive, and despite the weight, a bit of a sleeper. Has to go, and just need to find the starter motor :( Anyone in Aus want to buu a rebuilt 13B turbo engine starter? Quote Link to comment

Kirden
Lol, wifey said to get rid of my datsun, so I got rid of wifey :P If you decide to go through all those parts and find a B210 front bumper and fish plate grill, just slow boat them my way. Might take 2 months to get here, but it beats 400 for shipping... By thw way, that stagea is awesome. I'd love to have one of those over here. Looks like a really fun sleeper. Quote Link to comment

GRpufnstuf
I'm lucky, if it's not a Bosch part (Volvo) it has to be Datsun. I am having suspension bushing mix up issues right now though! Quote Link to comment
Ratwagon1600
$280 later, after having to buy a replacement starter motor, it lives! Quick lap around the block and it's surprising how well it's running haven sitten for over 12 months. Rest of the day will be spent on a top to bottom checkover, oil and plug change and a general all round birthday for the old girl. Might have to consider keeping it now :) Quote Link to comment
