datzenmike
I agree.. thus my questions. If the head is off, just putting it back on will fix it. Quote Link to comment
DanielC
There is an oil passage in the head, that is close to a water jacket. if it get a crack in the oil passage, oil leaks into the water, when the engine is running and water can leak into the oil, after the engine is shut off. datzenmike
Pressure test could be compression or cooling system fail. Both can be the gasket. Quote Link to comment

datzenmike
Well the OP doesn't say much. Was the head removed and pressure tested, like for a crack in the cooling system? Or tested on the motor in which case how do you know it's the head and not the block or something else? How the hell do you get oil in the water? The lubrication system in under 60 PSI and is very self contained. Any oil burner with a blown HG is going to blow some fumes into the water jacket. Quote Link to comment

kgrantkey
I remember my 1st head gasket to go in an old datsun of mine. It had points that got worn, caused the timming to become off and overheated on the freeway between Birmingham and atlanta. It spit watwr from the radiator when you tutned the motor over with the radiator cap off. (after cool down of course) If you get your motor back going make sure to try and find a dizzzy distributor and forget about all the trouble points are. Quote Link to comment
