wayno
Skinny 9/16ths(14mm) wrench in back of it near the block, it's a pain in the ass, but you cannot grab the body of it and twist, it will likely ruin it. Quote Link to comment
dat77sun
yea i learned about grabbing the body, before it would just max out, and after trying to twist it off by grabbing the body it doesnt read at all, im going to be replacing it with a aftermarket mechanical guage Quote Link to comment
oldschool90
Make something like this out of an old/broken/cheap 14mm wrench (just the open end): and make sure you disconnect the battery or you'll short out the wrench to the starter hot wire. 1 Quote Link to comment
DanielC
I am not sure about the Z22 engine, but on L Datsun engines, the oil pressure sender does not have a normal pipe thread. It uses a British standard. The adapter you need if the Z22 uses BSP threads is Edelmann number 265220. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
The BSP was used well into the 2000s on all Datsun/Nissan motors. Quote Link to comment
Sealik
Before you bend up a wrench to fit...confirm that it is 14mm. Some are 17mm Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
If BSP they may be 9/16? Pretty sure I used a 9/16 or 5/8" once. Or maybe they are just close enough. Morning Doug. Quote Link to comment
