I think 75 or 76 was the crossover year. The mounts changed between the 2.

Better answer, probably not. Best answer-IDK.

So which cab to which frame?

And if going through the hassle, why not put it on a 79 frame?

There is a lot of legalities also by swapping frames with cabs.

And being in Cali-they'll get ya. Especially if trying to beat emissions.

BUT-anything is possible with time, money, and a welder.

Ya he is interested in the frame.  Didn't say why he wanted it.  If it was for emissions its not going to help him as it will still be registered as a '77.

As for if they will fit.  Yes.  Nothing is different.  Most changes where made in '78.  I went with a '79 frame just because of the upgrades on it.  Balljoints, disc...  Not going to ever be selling the truck now because of this but its all good.

I should be grabbing that frame so I could build a sweet coil over, 4link or better yet C4 IRS drift/autoX chassis for my next build.

But I'm not gonna. (No space) but 521 on that chassis would be ill.

Oh SNAP! " 'ill hustler "

Come get it before I just chop it up.
