HeyJoe!
I've actually got some stuff done lately. There's lots more stuff I'd like to get done before the JCCS. Tinted the high beams. ^^^ Thanks for the how-to Robopinapple! I got some touch up paint from Finishmasters in Pasadena. vvv Looks O.K., not a perfect match, but what do you expect? This paint is 43 years old. ^^^ I still need to: 1) Install the "new" winshield. 2) Get the 520 dash pad in. 3) Install the "new" e-bay steering wheel. 4) Get some carpet put in. 5) Re-install the front end stainless, that I just got polished. New steering wheel from E-bay, I got the wrap from Ruchycharms. ^^^^ Old wheel. Crusty and broken. ^^^ 520 dash pad. ^^^ Lip and eyebrow trim, grill is not here, but I got it polished too. 1 Quote Link to comment
wayno
Looking good  If you could take a piece of metal from your truck with the paint on it, paint shops should be able to match it perfect, but it will always look a little different because it is in fact new paint, so the texture will be different. mrbigtanker
Joe food for thought, paint the tail light or powder coat the frames the lenses are housed in,also with the grill out mask off and re paint the front apron black on the inside were the grill would go.And if you did not think about already go get stainless steel screws and get rid of the crusty old ones for all your grill trim. HeyJoe!
Thanks Tankers, I've got the stainless screws already. Getting the tail light frames painted is on my list too. I'll buy you a beer on the 28th. Quote Link to comment

HeyJoe!
I got the grill back from the polisher, straightener. It looks good, it was expensive, but shit, it looks like it's brand new! vvv Here's the truck with no grill, or trim on the front. vvvvv Here it is with the grill/trim. vvvvv I got the 520 dash pad, the new windshield, and the new steering wheel in as well. vvvv Couple more pics.... vvvv Next up: Some cheap black carpet and new side view mirrors. I got a estimate for some carpet from a place in Glendale (CA), 400 bucks! That seems like way too much. Is there decent interior shop in LA that will put some carpet in my truck for less than 400 bucks? 3 Quote Link to comment
