angliagt
I'm stripping out a '74 B210,& was wondering if I should keep the 4 speed transmission,or let it go to the wreckers, with the rest of the car? - Doug Quote Link to comment
Sierra
Keep it. You never know. Quote Link to comment
Datsunocaster
I would keep it. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
You can't buy this stuff any more. They don't make them. Once it is ground up it gone forever. This 4 speed may be the only thing needed to get or keep someone else's car on the road and out of the scrapers. I've kept stuff like this and given it away or sold for what ever was offered for it. I rarely throw shit away and it shows. 3 automatics, 720 5 speed, zx 5 speed, 720 diesel 5 speed missing front case, CA18ET 5 speed missing front case, 710 4 speed (sold recently) KA24 5 speed missing both cases.... and these are just the transmissions..... 1 Quote Link to comment

datzenmike
Will it fit? http://community.ratsun.net/topic/57542-wanted-80-210-4-speed/ Quote Link to comment
B210GX
It'l fit, but it should be the smaller one, like out of the 1200's 56's ? I believe It will work. but for how long? depends on how you drive it. in my 74 I went through 14 of them. after the A13 went out. I was hard on that car though. I could buy transmissions all day long for $25 -50 for them..yes that was 25+ years ago. Quote Link to comment
datsunfreak
Will it fit? http://community.ratsun.net/topic/57542-wanted-80-210-4-speed/ If he calls me, we'll find out. I have no 210 transmissions, just 1200/B210 transmissions. It'l fit, but it should be the smaller one, like out of the 1200's 56's ? FYI, if his car is originally a 4spd car, I'm pretty sure it already has the tiny 50-series transmissions in it. ;) A ton of the parts in a 210 are the smaller versions like what came in the 1200... B210GX
The 210 (B310) had the 60 series Trans's either 4 or 5 speed. either of which are much stronger that the 56. Quote Link to comment
PineClone
On a similar note, what about my '78 automatic? I really would like to get it out of my garage. At this point i'm ready to give it away for a 6 pack of beer. Quote Link to comment

B210GX
yes ALL the "A" series 4 spds had that same (size) output shaft. Which is the same as the B310 5spds both L and A (dog leg and standard shift pattern) Quote Link to comment
datsunfreak
yes ALL the "A" series 4 spds had that same (size) output shaft Then from henceforth we should not refer to any 4spd as "the beefy one" if it has that spindly little output shaft... Quote Link to comment
B210GX
LOL no the smooth case is what you want, not the ribbed for her pleasure one. Although this lower pic is a 60 series 5spd the spd looks just like it other than a different tail shaft housing and internals Quote Link to comment
angliagt
I kept it,along with the A13 engine. It will be an antique in 100 years! - Doug Quote Link to comment
