Here is my latest acquisition, 1973 620 I bought for the ole lady. It is currently in its off road set up, which was rrun in baja safari and later a chase truck in the baja 500. Atleast thats what I was told. Plans are to switch out the 5 speed to auto....I know that's completely backwards but she wants auto and I want 5 speed on my 510. Lower it, rewire, some rust repair, lots of rust removal, change front fenders, bumper, grill, front coil over, brake upgrade.....thats the short list.

Diceded on removing the fenders, while working on the right side the whole front end would move up and down. Seems a bit of rust plus some cutting left the front right just hanging by a hair.

Scirocco radiator.

Yeah right....has anyone ever used eastwood rust encapsulator, if so did it do as advertised? Any other product anyone would recommend for a rusty frame??

POR 15 has worked great for me. The higher the humidity, the harder it dries (very exciting for a Missourian).

Here are some recent pics. Installing the fenders. Also found out why the steering felt tight when turbing right.

Removed fenders to repair the rusted area and keep front of truck where it belongs.

where you have the jackstands in that photo:

that is the stock jacking point, however the jackstand point is on the side rails (for front.)

you can probably get away with keeping them where you have them, i was just telling you

what the manual says just in case you dont have one.

Any info or suggestions are welcome. I don't have the manual so thanks.

On this pick you can see i will be boxing the inner fender. Making room for the coil overs and they were in terrible condition.
