motor topic for my b210

hey guys what type of motor should i put in my 1978 b210 datsun..... 

 

nothing to crazy just want more HP then the stock motor that i have =)

Or is just a matter of personal taste?

I never done a motor swap so any input helps.

if you decide on the L20, why not just do the KA-e for more power for the win.

 

 

sorry, I don't don't know the pros and cons but sure this topic has been covered on the form. Time for you to do some digging or just wait for someone to tell ya. GL with what ever direction you go.

With the right bits an L20b is near drop in. KA not so much.

It may (NYC) come down to what's available out there. KAs require high pressure fuel pump and all the EFI wiring. I could see an L20B 95hp in a stock B-210 but not 150 without zx struts and brakes.

with the proper parts its a "drop in,"  but unless you live on the west coast its not as easy as a couple of trips to the junkyard.   im doing an l20 swap, but its manly because i found a decent running l20 long block w/4 speed for really cheap.  had that not happen i probably would have went for a carbbed ka swap.  there are still tons of ka's available for me, not many l motors

if you do go L20B. you need to get the crossmember from an older 510, then it all bolts right in.
