metalmonkey47
Dunno that anyone here has ever done a KA-T in a 620 yet. Mostly SR stuff. Quote Link to comment
Fckieffer
So I could possibly be the first to do this? Quote Link to comment
metalmonkey47
First on here maybe, but I can guarantee it's been done before. 1 Quote Link to comment

Fckieffer
The turbo I have is off of a Sr20de and it is in the middle of the motor which make me think it could pose a problem as far as the wheel well goes Quote Link to comment
datsunaholic
I would suspect that the wheelwell, which is just sheet metal and easily "clearanced", is the least of your worries. The upper A-arm mount, or for that matter the steering shaft are your more likely clearance issues. Quote Link to comment
Fckieffer
Well its more in the back middle so I don't think steering will be an issue Quote Link to comment
datsunaholic
The further back the WORSE it'd be. If it clears the steering, it'll clear everything else. But I'm not talking about the steering BOX, which is up front. The tube- that SOLID tube? It's probably occupying the exact location of the turbo. Remember, SR20DET engines were a JDM thing, and on JDM cars the steering is not only a completely different system, but on the OTHER SIDE of the engine. The stock exhaust on a 620 barely clears the steering shaft tube as it is. You're in basically uncharted waters here. I'm sure it's been done, just not by anyone here, and it likely involved a custom header. Or, redoing the steering with U-joints. I know that's been done, but it's not easy. Quote Link to comment
Dawa
well lets see photos of the clearance issue, guy! Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
There is some room there, but the further back you go, the less clearance you have. Quote Link to comment
Fckieffer
I would take pictures but I don't even have the cab on the chassis right now Quote Link to comment

Fckieffer
Either way is gonna be a bitch... I'm gonna have to cut the engine bay up.. Unfortunately Quote Link to comment

Ya he got rid of the booster to make it all fit. I've done lots of measuring and made countless phone calls. A custom manifold similar to this. [/url] Quote Link to comment
southern620
This will be similar to what I'm gonna run. Quote Link to comment
