datzenmike
Intakes are 0.010"... exhaust are 0.012" HOT Warm engine up thoroughly. Take valve cover off. Set motor close to TDC. Probably a good idea to familiarize yourself with the procedure so the engine stays warm . Set the following: Ex. on #1 Int. on #1 Int. on #2 Ex. on #3 Turn motor one full turn and set: Ex. on #2 Int. on #3 Intake on #4 Ex. on #4 You're done and you didn't have to keep bumping the motor over to the next valve. 1 Quote Link to comment

wayno
He called me about his valve clearance, and I told him to come over and we could check it, as he doesn't live that far away, right after he started over, it started pouring rain, but just before he arrived, it stopped. His problem wasn't a valve clearance issue, it was a cheap fuel pump issue, it literally fell apart in my hand when I unbolted it from the engine, the actuator arm came out of the pump in pieces, I can hardly believe it pumped fuel at all. Fact is that it was a miracle that he wasn't changing that one the side of the road somewhere. Sorry, I should have taken photos of the whole thing, but it's not as easy to post photos anymore, it takes the fun out of it. :( Quote Link to comment
