still one year off of smog so if you want a cali smog exempt kc you need to start with a 73-75 long bed frame and vin tags then do some body swapping either way its illegal

Does it say 76 on the title? Cause 77's will say 76 on the vin if they were early 77 models built in 76 but sold in 77. Title is all that matters

 

I've had 2.  See the data tag?  7/76, July.  My previous one was earlier.  '76 Emissions tag, '76 on the title, etc.  I had a '77 as well and there were wiring harness differences.

Thanks guys! I think I'm gonna go for the Std Cab and just fix the belly, lol ... Plus I really like the look of the Std cab better ... Really looking forward to my first Datsun and get under the hood ... Totally appreciate all the help from you guys

Fix it ??  Hell maybe get your self a couple ladies,,  that way there would be one on each side of the hump..
