Float Bowls: Brass VS Plastic?

I am going to order new and want to know why i should order one over the other.

Brass can be repaired...

I think the Phenolic plastic ones are solid so never sink, never need to be fixed. You can boost them as well without worry of collapsing them.

I have never had plastic ones just brass. I tried to reseal the solder on mine when they leaked and totally failed. I ended up buying new ones. I also was under the impression the the newer carbs had plastic floats and the older ones used brass. I'm not 100% sure they are interchangeable. :confused:

They are interchangeable assuming you get the same size and weight.......if smaller,  you may have to adjust the innards to accommodate the smaller float.  Only know this from experience.   :blush:

Well economical and longevity. Nitrile is cheaper then brass and since they are solid you never need to repair them. 

I still prefer brass though, too much shit is plastic.
