Currently, the gas tank is throwing one hell of a hissy fit. It's the only thing I haven't taken out of the truck except the transfer case..... Quote Link to comment

datzenmike Posted February 14, 2013 Report Share Posted February 14, 2013 The L motor is one of the most reliable engines in HISTORY.They are responsible for Datsun kicking Detroit's ass. Back in the day Datsun over engineered the L. It has 5 huge main bearings, just compare to the narrower KA bearings that carry 50% more power. The L20B has a full counterweighted crank capable of spinning 6-7K all day. Anyone who has thrown a rod through the block didn't check the oil or water or their gauges. Short of neglect, it's virtually impossible to harm an L motor. 1 Quote Link to comment
