620s share any 510 parts?

I'm curious as to what parts are shared between the 620 and 510.

How much of the structure is shared?

Would doors swap? Glass? Hard points?

Are these two similar at all. Obviously, 510 is unibody.

Would be sorta cool to build a 510 with 620 nose and bullet side detailing... maybe extend the 510's fins a bit...

Thanks for the warm welcome!

Yeah, have had 3 510s. One 80s street-prepped, one stocker, and one that i put an 8-point cage, bored/stroked 215, T-5, wilwood brakes/pedals, monoball rear, coil overs, steel flares... sorta ratsun-ish.

Haven't owned a 620. If I had, I wouldn't be asking the question.

Sometimes manufacturers use some of the same components on several models to save costs, and I was wondering if Datsun did that, because it sure seems smart to share windshields and other parts between models. I was wondering if the hard points were the same between 510 and 620 as far as doors, hood, fenders, etc go.

Love, always.

The 521 is a lot closer in looks to a 510. (I've owned both and have a 620 now)

The 521 shared L16 motor and tranny and rear end gears in the wagon. Other than bulbs and hand break?, that's about it I think.

Welcome to ratsun!

arent the side markers the same?

No.

Maybe this will put the misconception that 510 and 521/620 side marker lenses are the same to an end (wishful thinking). Note that both apply to 1970 and later models only.

The wagon didn't even really share the rear gears... different ratio and different side gears (due to smaller axles in the Wagon).

Yup, (I was using VERY general terms) Unusual for someone not known for his brevity. H-190Al in 521 and wagons till 11/'71
